The feedback includes lighting techniques, composition suggestions, and general impressions on the presented images. Guest can also expect feedback from their peers.

Daily Photo Workshops - Your workshop leaders will be providing daily instruction in presentation format that covers topics ranging from underwater photo equipement selection, lighting, snoots & light modifiers, strobe positioning, composition, macro & wide angle techniques, and finally post production image processing, and much more.

Additional supplemental instruction will be provided for those guests who would like to increase their knowledge and skill using Adobe Lightroom with an emphasis on catalog management, keyword strategies, post processing. This is always one of the most highly valued parts of the workshop.

One-on-one sessions with two workshop leaders who care about the images their guests take home. Schedule time with both Matt and Erik to work on questions or techniques that interest you most. We will be available to provide guidance and instruction on all matters of your underwater photograph.http://www.uwphotographyguide.com/images/workshops/Damai5

We plan on having newly released gear with us for you to try out. While the final list of items is still in the works, you can expect to have access to snoots, video lights, strobes and diopters from several manufacturers, that will allow you to try before you buy, and take your macro images to the next level.

Diving in Lembeh Straits - Lembeh is without doubt the muck-diving capital of the world. Underwater photographers flock here from all over the world to see a myriad of critters, frogfish, pipefish, nudibranchs, sea horses, juvenile fish, and other exotic animals. Don't expect beautiful reefs in Lembeh itself, but very scenic reefs exist at nearby islands.

About the Trip Leaders

Erik Lukas is an active diver and photographer based in Los Angeles, CA. He is a volunteer scuba diver at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA. You can expect to find Erik diving many of the amazing Pacific Ocean sites of Southern California, camera in hand, at any chance he can get.

See more of Erik’s photography at http://www.seeundersea.com or on Instagram @seeundersea.

"I am passionate about underwater photography in general and have a special love for macro subjects. For me the things that are hardest to spot hold the most interest. Documenting the commensal and symbiotic relationships is for me the most interesting…the smaller and more bizarre the better. I also have a passion for sharing my knowledge with others. My goal with all of my workshops is to ensure each guest leaves with a group of images that they are proud to share."

Matthew Sullivan is an underwater and conservation photographer based out of Los Angeles, CA. For more of his pictures follow him on Instagram.
