Northern Wrecks and Strait of Tiran Itinerary (North & Tiran)

This Red Sea Diving itinerary combines the most famous wrecks in the Northern Red Sea with stunning wall and hard coral garden reef diving.

Dive the famous four wrecks of Abu Nuhas, the ships’ Graveyard. This reef lies close to the ship-lane toward the Suez Canal and has claimed more ships than any other in the Red Sea. The wrecks are very scenic, covered in corals and they are fantastic for photography, especially the Carnatic, having sunk in 1869.

  • Day 1
  • Arrival and check in. First night spent onboard in the New Marina Hurghada.

  • Departure around 8-10 am.
  • Two check dives near Hurghada, i.e. Sha’ab el Erg/Dolphin reef, possible night dive in Abu Nuhas.

Brothers, Daedalus and Elphinstone Itinerary (BDE)

The Brother Islands, the tops of two undersea mountains rising from the depth, can be explored while diving the Red Sea about 50 nautical miles off-shore, near the town of Quseir.

The Aida II, an Egyptian supply vessel and the Numidia, a cargo ship, lie on the walls of the Big Brother and can be explored on this Red Sea diving safari.

Daedalus Reef is a big oval reef with a lighthouse and its perimeter of walls offers some of the most stunning diving in the Red Sea.

The thresher shark, an oceanic species, as well as the magnificent Whale shark, occasionally spotted close to the reef.

Last but not least, this diving safari finishes with Elphinstone, a truly legendary Red Sea diving reef where you can expect the unexpected.

Daedalus, Rocky and Zabargad Itinerary (DRZ)

The shear walls of Elphinstone Reef plunge steeply into the blue richly decorated with soft and fan corals. Rocky and Zabargad Islands lie close together to the south-east of Ras Banas. Rocky’s shear walls are covered in a stunning forests of soft and fan corals. Daedalus Reef, also called Abu El Kizan, is the most off-shore of all the reefs in the Egyptian Red Sea. Zabargad Island, amazing in its spectacular beauty, was used as a precious stone mine in ancient times.

Rocky, Zabargad, St. John's Itinerary (RZS)

As the most southerly of Egypt’s Red Sea dive destinations, not many divers make it to St. John’s, Zabargad and Rocky Island. Those who do, often iterate their belief that this is the best diving in the Red Sea. With abundant marine life, uncrowded dive sites and crystal clear visibility, it’s easy to understand why.

St. John’s is a healthy reef system lying 25 miles (40 kilometers) southwest of Rocky Island and just east of Elba National Park. Habili Ali and Habili Gafaar are two reef dives known for their abundant soft corals and black corals as well as their schooling pelagic fish species.

  • Day 1
  • Arrival and check in. First night spent onboard in the Marina Port Ghalib
  • Day 2
  • Departure around 8 am, check dive at Marsa Alam, then 2nd dive after sail to Rocky island
  • Day 3

St. Johns Itinerary (St. Johns)

St John's is a cluster of small reefs offering some of the most spectacular underwater wildlife vistas in the Red Sea. Habili Ali reef offers giant gorgonians and black corals. The Grey Reef houses silvertip sharks and Hammerhead sharks - at its west side. Habili Gafaar is a mass of soft corals crowded with snappers, butterfly fish and barracudas. To the north, you'll find the St John's cave, an area where shallow cracks open up into small caverns.

  • Day 2
  • departure around 8 am, 2 check dives near Marsa Alam coast sailing to St. John reef over night

Abu Fandira / St. John's Itinerary (Abu Fandira)

St. John's and Abu Fandira is a place where there are hardly any liveaboards or hoards of divers in sight. The 6km-long line of reefs lie south of St. John's in an east-west direction. The various topography of the 6 long reefs offer wonderful views onto brilliant coral blocks at about 15-20m. Beside the reef sharks that cruise in the area, you will also find large schools of fish and many species of crustaceans. Gorgeous Napoleon fish and the rare humphead parrot fish are residents here in large numbers.

  • Day 2
