Las Rocas Dive Resort
LAS ROCAS DIVE RESORT - ROATAN, HONDURAS REVIEW
This was the perfect hideaway for my most recent dive trip! It's a small, quiet resort tucked away on a beach on Roatan, Honduras. The rooms are cabana-style, with a private porch and hammock. There is wifi available, although not the most reliable, and the rooms don't have TVs. There is A/C in each room, however. The dive shop on site runs 3 dive trips per day, and also offers several day trips. Their boat only holds about 6 divers, so you're never in a crowd. The staff is fantastic, and the dive sites are beautiful! I mentioned the kind of diving I was hoping to do, and they had no problem finding a site for me! There is a small restaurant on site as well, and they make amazing lobster linguine! Breakfast was included with our room and diving package, and it was a different homemade meal daily (for example, a breakfast burrito with fresh eggs and from-scratch tortillas). The food was always fresh, and the portions were generous. I had an amazing time at this resort, and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the bigger, more touristy operations. It's a simple place for people with simple tastes, who are looking for peace, quiet, beautiful scenery, and fantastic diving. I hope to make it back some day soon!
