M/Y Blue Fin Quick Pitch

Built in 2005, this Red Sea liveaboard is the first in the blue o two fleet and with her understated luxury and unique layout remains a very popular choice. Updated in early 2016 due to her dry dock season, M/Y blue Fin is a traditional style liveaboard vessel in many ways, but also has some unique twists that keep her standing out from the crowd!

M/Y Blue Fin Cabin Details

Three huge king suites dominate the bow on the lower and middle decks, spreading the whole width of the vessel. All king suites on board this stunning Red Sea liveaboard benefit from a large double bed, ensuite facilities, air conditioning, mini refrigerators and personal entertainment systems with large plasma screen. The king suites are the perfect private retreat for honeymooners or couples simply looking for a little extra space and luxury.

All other cabins are twins and are located on the lower deck. All benefit from ensuite facilities, air conditioning, mini refrigerators and personal entertainment systems. TV's in the communal areas are also equipped with an Apple TV and a hard drive containing movies and TV series.

Food & Drinks Aboard M/Y Blue Fin

  • Onboard the blue o two fleet, lunch and evening meals usually consist of lots of fresh vegetables, rice, chicken, beef and fish.
  • Breakfast is usually eggs cooked to your choice (omelet, fried, poached, boiled or scrambled), pancakes, toast, fresh fruit, cereal.
  • Snacks are available between dives. If you have any individual dietary requirements, please ensure that you mention it at the point of booking.
  • Please note that specific brands of foods and soft drinks are often unavailable in the Red Sea, and that it can be very difficult for us to find low-fat or soy products that are common elsewhere.

  • With the majority of the week spent at the legendary Brother Islands, this thrilling itinerary with spectacular drop offs gives divers the chance to really get to know this world famous marine park!
  • Common sightings: Large fish and pelagics

  • Wrecks: Two at Brothers, options in the Safaga area
  • Night dives: Normally two during the week but not guaranteed

Strait of Tiran & North 

  • Blue Fin
  • The Strait of Tiran and North cruise allows you to see what northern Red Sea has to offer as well as the pristine coral reefs of Tiran. The Tiran dive area is found in the entrance to the Gulf of Aqaba and is made up of four main reefs that form the top of an underwater bridge. These reefs, named after British cartographers (Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas, Gordon), are world famous for their extraordinary diversity of corals and strong south western currents make them home to many large pelagic fish.
  • Common sightings: Dolphins and turtles, lovely reefs. Maybe something big in Tiran!
  • Reefs: A mixture of shallow reefs and drop-offs
  • Wrecks: Limited, but will include SS. Thistlegorm
  • Night dives: Most nights but not guaranteed
  • Experience required: Suitable for all divers
  • Amount of traveling: Short distances between dive sites

  • Technical diving is fast becoming a popular extreme sport with divers looking to go that bit deeper, for that bit longer and see that little bit more in a safe way. Join blue o two with Tekstreme and travel along stunning walls, through deep wrecks and into silent canyons that are teeming with marine life; that's the incredible journey and adventure offered to you with Tekstreme. Begun in 1997 as a TDI facility, Tekstreme Diving has grown substantially over the years and is now one of the only active BSAC technical training facilities in Egypt. In 2011 it was awarded the PADI TecRec Centre rating and in 2012 became a representative for the ever-growing technical services offered by SSI from entry level through to Instructor trainer levels. From entry level 
  • divers to expedition divers, OC or CCR, Tekstreme Diving provides a custom service for all the technical diving community with no compromises made.

Red Sea Deep South with Saeed Rashid 

  • Blue Fin
  • Blue o two are pleased to offer you EXCLUSIVE LIVEABOARD PHOTOGRAPHIC WORKSHOPS hosted by Saeed Rashid.
  • QUALIFICATION NEEDED: You must be a PADI Open Water diver or equivalent to join this safari. You do not need to be a photographer to join this itinerary! All divers welcome!
  • ROUTE: Deep South
  • This itinerary will follow a route in the Deep South of the Red Sea and will include the beautiful St. Johns and Fury Shoal reefs, allowing divers the opportunity to capture a wide variety of subjects, including reefs, incredible amphitheaters of corals and marine species on a macro and micro scale. There will be up to four dives a day, three of which will be 'In Focus' dives where Saeed will be in the water. Out of those three 'In Focus' dives, one will be a night dive. In order to improve your skills on this itinerary, you may dive some sites on more than one occasion.

Rocky, Zabargad & St. Johns 

  • Taking in the world-famous marine parks of Rocky and Zabargad, as well as focusing on the stunning reefs of St Johns and Fury Shoal, this itinerary offers divers the chance to dive a wide range of dive sites, allowing them to get away from the crowds.
  • QUALIFICATION NEEDED: You must be a PADI Open Water diver or equivalent and have logged a minimum of 30 dives to join this safari. Please note that night diving and snorkeling is prohibited in the marine park where you will normally spend 2 days of the trip depending on the route. To get the most out of these superb dive sites, many dives will be from a RIB.
  • Common sightings: A variety of marine life, stunning reef life
  • Reefs: Deep drop-offs, stunning coral gardens and exposed plateaus
  • Wrecks: Limited - possibility to dive "The Russian Wreck" at Zabargad Island
  • Night dives: Normally either two to three during the week but not guaranteed
  • Experience required: Moderate
  • Amount of traveling: Several overnight sailings needed
