The Diving on the Peninsula

The reefs in the area are mostly rocky, ridges and pinnacles, covered with black corals, gorgonians and soft corals. Depth varies from shallow dive sites at 10-12 meters, to some deeper 20 to 35 meters. Dives styles vary from quiet critters dives to high voltage current dives.

Currents can be consistent on some of the dives, depending on the moon phase. The pinnacles and ridges are very rich in fish, with surgeonfish schools, barracudas, travellies, giant trevallies, Spanish mackerels etc…

On the more sandy spots (mixed of sand, rubble and boulders), critters are abundant. On the black sandy slope, just in front of the bungalows, frogfish, hairy frogfish, blue ring octopus, ghost pipefish, are among the species frequently spotted.

The dive spots are on the 2 small islands in the front of the resort and along the coast. Just in front of the bungalows there is a great sandy slope for muck diving!
