Bimini Sands Resort &Marina
Myself,my spouse and son stayed there in March 2013 for 4 days with our main goal to scuba dive and film Great Hammerhead Sharks.
It was a convenient and short inexpensive flight from Nassau via Eleuthera/Harbour Island and we were greeted by staff of the resort and shown to our spacious room with loft.It also had a kitchen,2 bathrooms,tv,internet,a balcony with view of the marina/ocean.Kingsize beds and all in good condition.
It was a fairly quiet time of season,but there was a restaurant with tasty sandwiches we enjoyed and or box lunches and a restaurant via bus in the evenings to enjoy as well as a lively bar...all with good value and variety.
The marine life was outstanding as we had 2 days of shallow water(25 feet or less) encounters with up to three Great Hammerheads,a few bull sharks,nurse sharks and many remora etc.
Neal Watson's Bimini Scuba Center were our hosts for these shark excursions and the crew,guides,safety and boat were all top notch.We also took an eco lemon shark tour and saw some sea horses.sting rays and enjoyed this special event immensely.
The overall value is 5 star if you like lots of ocean activities in a luxury room in an area with lots of potential big animal action.
