Curacao offers a vibrant underwater world, providing excellent opportunities for captivating marine photography. Similar to Bonaire, Curacao is considered a "macro" island, meaning encounters with larger species like sharks and mantas are less common. However, what the island lacks in size, it compensates with a diverse array of colorful marine life, perfect for close-up wide-angle shots. Underwater enthusiasts can delight in encounters with fascinating creatures such as Frogfish, Longlured, and occasional Occelated, creating a visually stunning underwater landscape. The marine diversity extends to Pigmy Angelfish, Flameback Angel, Gobies, Blennies, and various crab species, including Clinging, Cryptic, Neck, and Speck Clawed. The underwater spectacle is further enriched by Banded Coral, Scarlet, Red Night shrimps, and Red Banded Lobster. Pederson and Spotted Cleaner Shrimps are a common sight on every dive, while the easily noticeable Lettuce Sea Slug, with its three-color phases, adds a touch of elegance as a prominently visible Nudibranch.
