How to Get There
Dangriga is on the southern coast of Belize, only 36 miles due south of Belize City and the Belize International Airport. You can take a short 20-minute flight down the coast or a scenic 2-hour drive from Belize City. The resort can arrange Dangriga airport transfers.
Dive Overview
Home to the second largest barrier reef in the world, Belize offers good Caribbean diving combined with an excellent tropical rain forest, exotic birds, and historical Mayan ruins. It’s also one of the few places in the world where you can scuba dive (not just snorkel) with whale sharks.

A total of 13 rooms in either the second floor of the Pelican’s Pouch main lodge or in the Brown Booby tucked in the trees on the east side make these rooms a great choice for a comfortable stay at a lower rate.

Most of the cottages are 2 bedroom units with separate entrances, and each bedroom unit is sold individually. These cottages are dotted across the property. With the total width of the island property just under 250 feet, the cottages are spaced for privacy yet only a few yards from the beach.
- Each of the 8 cottage units are simply and comfortably furnished and have:
- Private entrances
- One Queen-sized bed and a twin or double bed with comfortable mattresses

Dive Information
Diving in Belize
The dive operator, Seemore Adventures, does dive tours at the Southern Barrier Reef around South Water Caye Marine Reserve and Glover’s Reef Atoll Marine Reserve. Both locations are a part of The Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. At South Water Caye they have 18 different dive sites used on a regular basis and at Glover’s 11 different dive sites.
The diving in Belize is varied enough to please everyone from novices to seasoned divers. You’ll find an abundance of coral gardens, sponges, reef sharks, rays, and small reef fish.
