ARABIAN AGGRESSOR QUICK PITCH

The new Arabian Aggressor offers itineraries in Sudan and Djibouti that are perfect for the passionate and adventurous diver. Africa's southern Red Sea is teeming with pelagics like hammerheads, mantas and whale sharks. 7-night trips to Sudan will be offered from February to June, while the Djibouti trips will be held from November to February.

 

 

Dive Overview

Sudan's waters contain colorful, pristine reefs, uncrowded dive sites, unforgettable wrecks, healthy shark populations, and big schools of fish. Usually attracting more experienced divers and those who have dived the Red Sea before, the delightful coral gardens and wide array of sharks ensure an exiciting experience. Djibouti is situated at the beginning of the Red Sea and is influenced by the Indian Ocean in virtue of this phenomenon here from October to January there are a lot of whale sharks in addition to coral fishes, giant groupers, pelagic fishes all fed by the massive presence of oxygen and plankton. This destination is for divers and snorkelers and for those people who love whale sharks.

The Arabian Aggressor contains 10 spacious and air-conditioned rooms.  Their Master Staterooms contain one queen bed, a picutre window and a private bathroom. Their Deluxe Staterooms contain two single beds or one king bed, a porthole and a private bathroom. All room are equipped with bathroom amenities such as towels, bathrobes, and a hairdryer. A 32-inch flat screen TV with a selection of over 400 movies is also located in the room.

All prices are in USD and per person. For Sudan trips, the registration/visa fee of $235 ($285 for US citizens), the tourism tax of $10per day, and the port/park fee of $150 per person is not yet included and must be paid onboard the yacht. For Djibouti trips, the entry visa fee is $25 and the port/park fee is $150.

Sudan dive overview

Sudan is a vast area known for its large reefs, lagoons and pinnacles, pristine corals and walls, schools of hammerhead sharks, grey sharks, white tip sharks, tuna, jacks and barracudas, manta rays and wrecks. Their warm waters are crystal clear and offer immerse variety with over 400 species of coral and 1,500 species of fish, turtles and sharks. Sudan is probably best known for seeing large schools of hammerhead sharks swimming along. They also have one of the best preserved World War II wrecks in the Red Sea, the Umbria. 

 

Sudan Dive itinerary (Feb-Oct)

The Arabian Aggressor offers two itineraries for trips to Sudan, the North and South Itineraries (7 nights) and the Deep South Itinerary (10 and 11 nights). Airport transfers can be arrangeed for you if arriving or departing from the Port Sudan New International Airport on the charter start/end dates to and from the yacht. Guests may board the yacht Friday afternoon (anytime between 3 pm and 6 pm). The boat will dock early Saturday morning. There will be a full week of diving, up to 4 dives per day and night diving when available. All dives will be done from 2 renders that carry 10 divers each for quick access. Since water temperature here is around 23-29° C (74-84° F), a 3mm wetsuit is recommended in the summer and a 5mm wetsuit in the winter. The yacht returns Thursday afternoon (between 2 pm to 4 pm), and after the sunset cocktail party guests may go ashore for dinner. Check-out is Friday morning at 8 am.

djibouti dive overview

Djibouti is perfect spot for divers in search of whalesharks, dolphins and manta rays. Located in the Horn of Africa and the sourthern end of the Red Sea, Djibouti offers pristine and untouched waters full of healthy coral reefs, colorful soft corals and large schools of fish. Over 200 species of coral are found in Djibouti, making it an extremely diverse ecosystem. Diving is best done in mid-October to February when the plankton blooms develop in the Gulf of Tadjourah. Whalesharks and other great pelagic species are especially common during this time. 

 

Djibouti DIve itinerary (nov-feb)

The Arabian Aggressor operates from the Port of Djibouti from the months of November to February. On the start date of the chapter departure, transfers are provided from the Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport (JIB) to the yacht for $40. Boarding is anytime between 3pm and 6pm, and the yacht will depart early the next morning. There will be a full week of diving, 5 dives per day and night diving when available. All dives will be done from 2 renders that carry 10 divers each for quick access. Since water temperature here is around 23-29° C (74-84° F), a 3mm wetsuit is recommended in the summer and a 5mm wetsuit in the winter. During the 7-night trips, you will visit three areas off the coast, the Seven Brothers Islands, Gulf of Tadjourah, and Ghoubet al Kharab. The Arabian Aggressor will return to port Thursday afternoon, and a sunset cocktail party will be held before guests go ashore for dinner. Check-out is Friday morning at 8 am.
