Diving in the Indian Ocean: Andaman, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, and the Maldives

The Andaman Islands are home to pristine reefs, deep drop-offs, and abundant marine biodiversity. Sites like Havelock Island offer encounters with manta rays, reef sharks, and barracudas, while the volcanic formations create stunning underwater scenery.

Seychelles boasts granite rock formations covered in soft corals and schools of tropical fish. Divers here can spot whale sharks, hawksbill turtles, and reef sharks, especially around Aldabra Atoll, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Sri Lanka offers wreck diving, vibrant coral gardens, and rich marine biodiversity. Sites like Great Basses Reef and HMS Hermes provide thrilling dives with stingrays, groupers, and moray eels.

Mauritius is famous for its diverse dive sites, including underwater caves, coral walls, and drift dives. Expect to see dolphins, eagle rays, and colorful reef fish in its warm tropical waters.

Finally, the Maldives is a world-class dive destination, known for its shark encounters, manta rays, and vibrant coral atolls. With strong currents and clear waters, it’s ideal for both beginners and experienced divers.
