Big Brother
Which is the more beautiful of the two? Many believe the larger one has a slight edge and is more attractive due to its wrecks: the Aida II and the Numidia have found their final resting place here and are more beautiful than they ever were in life. Both have transformed into verdant gardens, making it difficult to discern where the wreck ends and the reef begins. The Numidia, on the more exposed northern side, has been thoroughly battered by the forces of the water. Because of its cargo, it's also known as the "railway wreck." The bow lies in shallow water; at a depth of about 15 meters, the hull becomes visible. Beautifully overgrown rails pull you down, so be careful! The propeller lies beyond all reason at a depth of 80 meters.

Small Brother
The reef boasts an incredibly high concentration of marine life in a very small area. Coral forests, overhangs, and a wide variety of hard and soft corals in stunning colors abound… and of course, there's plenty of fish! Regular sightings of hammerhead, thresher, grey reef, silky, and whitetip reef sharks can be expected at any time of year.

Daedalus Reef
Over 180 km south of the Brother Islands, this enormous reef is surrounded by steep walls and strong currents. The stony corals have grown to an enormous size! Here you have a great chance of seeing the famous school of hammerhead sharks in the northeast of the reef.

Elphinstone Reef
This reef is known for shark encounters, including whitetip reef sharks, hammerheads, grey reef sharks, thresher sharks, and of course, what Elphinstone is famous for: the oceanic whitetip reef shark (longimanus).

Elphinstone Reef, or Sha'ab Abu Hamra, located 20 km from Marsa Alam, is a reef no more than 300 meters long. Its spectacular drop-offs plunge well over 100 meters on both sides. Strong currents make this a perfect drift dive along walls covered with many species of fish and soft corals. Here you'll see barracuda, angelfish, schools of anthias, groupers, moray eels, and shoals of sweetlips. The reef is covered in soft corals all the way to the north. At the southern end of Elphinstone is an archway, reaching a depth of 65 meters. This is well beyond the recreational diving limit, but ideal for technical divers. Whitetip reef sharks also occasionally visit this area.

Other shark species are regular visitors – whitetip and grey reef sharks, as well as hammerhead and silky sharks, can be spotted.

The eastern side is a large drop-off, while the western side is less steep and somewhat sandier. Overall, this area boasts an abundance of soft corals, sponges, gorgonians, and giant whip corals.
Brothers, Daedalus, and Elphinstone Reef is a fantastic combination for divers who love steep walls and big pelagic fish.
