How To Get There

Himmafushi Island, part of Kaafu Atoll, is just 17 km north of Malé and one of the closest local islands to the airport. Getting there is quick and easy, with a 20-minute speedboat ride available via Naseeb Express, which runs three times daily at approximately US$20 per way. Private transfers can also be arranged upon request.

Dive Overview

Diving in the Maldives is renowned worldwide for its crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and incredible marine biodiversity. Spanning over 1,000 islands across 26 atolls, the Maldives offers an extraordinary variety of dive experiences, from dramatic channels (kandus) with strong currents and big pelagics to sheltered coral gardens teeming with reef life. Divers can encounter manta rays, whale sharks, turtles, reef sharks, and countless tropical fish, often all in a single dive.

Himmafushi Scuba Adventure is located near the top dive sites in North Male Atoll. Manta rays can be seen at Bodu Hithi Thila from December to May and at Lankan Manta Point near Himmafushi from June until November. Himmafushi Scuba Adventure goes to around 30 dive sites, including Shark Tank, HP Reef, Lankan Manta Point, etc.

Diving around Himmafushi, in North Malé Atoll, offers access to some of the Maldives' most celebrated dive sites. Nearby highlights include HP Reef, known for its vibrant soft corals, overhangs, and sightings of reef sharks, eagle rays, and turtles, and Himmafushi Corner, a sloping reef dive with strong currents that attract schools of jacks, tunas, and occasional rays. Other popular sites include Nassimo Thila, Okebe Thila, and Banana Reef, as well as seasonal manta encounters at Lankan Manta Point and wreck diving at MV Maldives Victory.
