Yasawa Princess operates in the Maldives, offering unforgettable liveaboard experiences across this tropical archipelago. Embarkation and disembarkation take place at Maamigili, with Male’ serving as the nearest major city. Guests can conveniently reach the vessel via Velana International Airport (MLE), the Maldives’ primary gateway, which is well-connected to major international hubs. Airport transfers are available for a surcharge, with the crew assisting guests upon arrival and providing private transport directly to the vessel.

Dive Overview

The Maldives is renowned as one of the world’s premier diving destinations, featuring crystal-clear waters, abundant marine life, and diverse underwater landscapes. From vibrant coral reefs and deep channels to thrilling drift dives and exciting encounters with pelagic species, the Maldives offers experiences suitable for both beginners and advanced divers. 

Divers aboard the Yasawa Princess can explore thriving coral gardens, manta ray cleaning stations, whale sharks, reef sharks, turtles, and a wide variety of tropical fish. All dives are guided, with a diver-to-guide ratio of 3:1, ensuring both safety and personalized attention. The minimum dive certification required is Open Water, making the trips accessible to newly certified divers as well as experienced adventurers. The Maldives’ atolls and channels provide exceptional visibility and warm waters, making every dive an unforgettable adventure in one of the planet’s most celebrated underwater playgrounds.

Accommodation Overview

The Yasawa Princess offers cozy and elegantly designed cabins across three decks, providing a comfortable and intimate environment for guests. Cabins on the Lower Main Deck feature double beds, while cabins on the A Deck and Bridge Deck offer a mix of single and double beds, accommodating different guest preferences. All cabins are air-conditioned and include an en-suite bathroom with a hot water shower, towels, and toiletries. Cabins are equipped with 240V power outlets, ensuring convenience and comfort throughout the stay. The warm wood décor and thoughtful layout create a welcoming retreat after a day of diving or exploring. Guests can also enjoy communal areas such as the indoor dining space, bar, and sun deck, enhancing the overall experience aboard the vessel.

Food & Drinks

Dining aboard Yasawa Princess is a relaxed experience featuring buffet-style meals with both local Fijian and international cuisines. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the Saloon Deck, which accommodates up to 60 guests. The resident bar offers a selection of wines, beers, cocktails, and spirits, while sun decks provide a casual space for snacks or drinks under the open sky.

Dive Information

The Maldives offers world-class diving with clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and abundant marine life, making it a dream destination for divers of all levels. The Yasawa Princess visits over 50 carefully selected dive sites, ranging from easy to challenging experiences, including full-day trips and two-tank dives. All dives are supervised by experienced dive masters or instructors, with rental equipment available and safety standards strictly observed. The onboard dive school, managed by Deep Blue Divers, offers a full range of PADI courses from beginner to master level, ensuring both novices and seasoned divers can enjoy the underwater wonders safely and confidently.

Best of Central Atoll – 15 Nights / 16 Days

Day 1 – Male’ Anchorage 

Arrive in the Maldives and transfer to Yasawa Princess, anchored off Villigili. Meet the crew and dive team during a welcome briefing, followed by a pre-dinner cocktail on deck while watching the sunset over the Indian Ocean.

Day 2 – Kalhuhuraa Sand

Bank Spend the day relaxing on the sand bank or enjoying morning and afternoon dives at Vaagali Caves and Kuda Giri wreck. Optional night fishing trip in the evening.

Day 3 – Hathikolhu Sand Bank & Vaavu Atoll

Morning and afternoon excursions to Hathikolhu Sand Bank. Weather permitting, cross to Vaavu Atoll for dives at Kandooma Thila and Villi Varu Giri, home to diverse marine life including stonefish, lionfish, and octopus.

Day 4 – Dhiggiri / Alimatha Sand Bank

Full day on the sand bank with snorkeling, diving at Nurse Sharks (Shark Point), Miyaru Kandu, and Devana Kandu, spotting sharks, turtles, and eagle rays.

Day 5 – Oshagali Finolhu & Dhagenthi Island

Explore the surrounding reef for diving and snorkeling. Afternoon visit to Dhagenthi Island to experience local life and shop for souvenirs. Dive sites include Five Rocks and Kahanbu Thila.

Day 6 – Dhigurah

Relax on this serene island, swim in the lagoon, and enjoy a picnic lunch on board. Dive at Kudarah Thila and Kudhimaa Wreck. Sunset cocktails and BBQ onboard.

Day 7 – Ariadhoo

Explore the island’s sand stretches and agricultural areas. Optional whale shark excursion available. Easy wall dives outside the atoll.

Day 8 – Ariadhoo

Repeat of Day 7 activities with optional whale shark excursion.

Day 9 – Hurasdhoo

Enjoy snorkeling on the house reef. Optional manta ray excursion to Rangali Madivaru. Evening night fishing trip using traditional hand lines.

Day 10 – Embudhoo

Morning and afternoon excursions for snorkeling or diving at Moofushi Kandu and Embudu Thila. Optional night fishing trip in the evening.

Day 11 – Alikoi Rah

Morning and afternoon excursions to a central sand bank with dives at Lhamiyaru Gaa Thila and Giri 2, spotting reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, and rays.

Day 12 – Meerufenfushi

Full day on the island with picnic lunch. Dive at Fish Head, home to gray and white reef sharks, schools of fusiliers, mackerel, tuna, turtles, and snappers. Sunset cocktails and BBQ onboard.

Day 13 – Maayafushi Sandbank / Madivaru Finolhu

Relax on the sandbank and snorkel the reef. Night dive at Maaya Thila, with sharks and stingrays hunting. Bathala Maagaa Kan offers sightings of large pelagics.

Day 14 – Male’ Anchorage 

Excursion to Fish Tank for diving and snorkel. Optional Male’ city visit depending on flight schedule.

Day 15 – Male’ Anchorage / Departure

Enjoy a relaxing breakfast overlooking the Indian Ocean before transfer to the airport. Guests staying onboard for the next cruise can relax or enjoy optional excursions.
