coronados island TOUR

The Coronado Island tour is a “must-do” for anyone visiting Loreto. In just twenty-five minutes from the Loreto Mariana, you’ll be swimming with the Sea Lions, exploring bird rookeries, and searching for dolphins. Snorkeling from the boat is a wonderful way to observe the marine life below. After touring the island we make a picnic stop at the lovely white sandy beaches for more exploration. In the cooler months stroll inland to explore the fascinating dune habitat. Public shade palapas and a “rustic” bathroom facility are available on this island. Have you already been to Isla Coronados and want to see more of the Marine Park? Contact us to arrange for day tours to either Isla Danzante or Isla Carmen. san Javier mission and desert tour

Our San Javier Mission, rancho, and desert tour is a wonderful day tour to take from Loreto. It includes stops at points of interest, a delicious lunch of regional cuisine, and an insightful tour of not only the mission but the surrounding orchards and farms as well. This is an experience that is certainly best experienced with an insider's knowledge. On this tour, you travel back in time for a wonderful adventure. Viggé Biaundó is the native name for this small valley oasis in the Sierra de la Giganta (Mountains of giant women) wherein in 1699 Father Francisco Maria Piccolo first established the site. Mission San Javier is the best preserved of all the Missions in the Californias.  The first time I went up to San Javier we stopped to take pictures of the views, visited the Mision, walked around town a little, and came back. My second trip was on a tour. I could not believe all the amazing things I learned about the desert, the history of the area, the local Rancheros, and of course the Mision. This tour shows you such a special and unique part of the world you really, really should take a guided tour.
