Overview
Sipadan is a protected island with no land-based tourism, so divers staying in Semporna have long looked to mainland Sabah for their topside adventure. This extension trades reef walls for river safaris, heading deep into the Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary, Malaysia's largest floodplain and home to over 1,000 wild orangutans, hundreds of Bornean pygmy elephants, and ten primate species including the iconic proboscis monkey. It is a natural, easy add-on to a Sipadan, Mabul, or Kapalai dive trip, whether you are extending your own stay or treating non-diving companions to an adventure of their own.
