How to Get There

To reach the enchanting island of St. Eustatius (Statia), the most recommended route is by air. Most visitors fly to St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) and then take a short flight with Winair to St. Eustatius’ F.D. Roosevelt Airport (EUX). This quick flight offers stunning panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and is the preferred route for travelers seeking comfort and efficiency.

For those coming from nearby islands, there is also a convenient sea option: a ferry from St. Kitts to St. Eustatius via Paradise Sun.

Food & Drinks

Golden Rock Resort elevates the dining experience with two distinctive on-site restaurants that appeal to both guests and visitors alike. Breeze, the resort’s premier estaurant, is celebrated for its panoramic ocean views stretching toward neighboring islands. Inspired by fresh seasonal ingredients, many sourced from the resort’s own greenhouse, Breeze delivers a menu of refined dishes that highlight the best of land and sea, complemented by craft cocktails, fine wines, and inventive beverages. It’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making it an ideal destination from sunrise to sunset.

Bobbie’s Beach Club, located at the base of the cliffs where the Quill Volcano meets the Atlantic Ocean, offers a more casual, vibrant setting with breathtaking ocean panoramas. The menu ranges from freshly prepared sushi and traditional Italian pizzas to Caribbean-inspired BBQ specialties. Live music and DJ beats enhance the lively atmosphere, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxed meal or post-beach drinks. Bobbie’s also sits beside the Caribbean’s largest man-made, ocean-fed cliff-edge lagoon, where guests can cool off and even try scuba or freediving lessons in a playful, scenic environment.

Dive Overview

Diving in St. Eustatius is a fascinating journey across the Caribbean's crystal-clear waters. This lesser-known island, also known as Statia, is a favorite among experienced divers and has been ranked #1 for Best Wreck Diving, Best Macro Life, and Best Marine Environment by Scuba Diving Magazine.

The marine park is home to around 400 historic wrecks, set among dramatic volcanic formations, pinnacles, and coral-covered lava flows. While traditional reefs are limited, divers are rewarded with vibrant sponges, gorgonian sea fans, barrel sponges, and thriving elkhorn coral gardens. Shark encounters are also possible, including Caribbean reef sharks and the occasional hammerhead. With strict protections in place, Statia delivers exceptional diving in a well-preserved, uncrowded setting.
