More information about diving
Stretching across the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand, the country’s dive destinations range from vibrant coral gardens to deep pinnacles swept by nutrient-rich currents. The Similan and Surin Islands are world-famous for dramatic granite formations, manta rays, and seasonal whale shark sightings, while Koh Tao offers beginner-friendly reefs, wrecks, and year-round diving. In the Andaman Sea, Richelieu Rock teems with macro life alongside schooling barracuda and pelagics, whereas southern sites near Koh Lanta and Koh Phi Phi feature caverns, limestone walls, and soft corals. Thailand’s mix of tropical waters, diverse marine life, and accessible dive infrastructure make it ideal for both new divers and seasoned explorers seeking variety and adventure.
