About Nayara Bocas del Toro

Nayara Bocas del Toro sits on its own private island in the Bocas del Toro Archipelago, Panama. It's adults-only, with overwater villas and treehouses perched above clear Caribbean water, where stepping off your deck puts you right in the ocean.

Isla Frangipani, Bocas del Toro Archipelago, Panama

Guests can explore the islands by private boat with a naturalist captain, snorkeling coral reefs, watching dolphins at sunset, or diving shipwrecks and biodiverse Caribbean reefs. Back on land, there's a spa, beachfront restaurant, and kayaks and paddleboards on hand whenever you want them.

Accommodation Overview

Nayara Bocas del Toro has 20 accommodations across two types: Overwater Pool Villas and Treehouses – all adults-only, king beds, and designed for two guests.

The overwater villas were handcrafted by Balinese artisans, with carved teak wood, four-poster beds, and French doors opening onto a private terrace with a saltwater plunge pool and direct stair access to the ocean. Some villas have a glass floor inlay to watch marine life below. All come with air conditioning, free minibar, Nespresso machine, Smart TV, and free WiFi.

The treehouses are designed by IBUKU's Elora Hardy, built from local bamboo and reclaimed hardwoods from the Panama Canal floor. They sit 50 feet above the ground with 21-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a private terrace with a handmade Javanese copper soaking tub.

Dive Overview

The Bocas del Toro Archipelago is one of Central America's most diverse underwater locations, with over 70 coral species and more than 40 dive sites ranging from shallow reefs and shipwrecks to wall dives and underwater caverns. The warm Caribbean waters remain around 26°C (78°F) throughout year, with visibility greatest during the dry seasons (February-April and September-November). Divers can expect to see nurse sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, moray eels, seahorses, and big schools of reef fish, with most locations being a short boat ride from the resort.

Food & Drinks

Nayara Bocas del Toro serves a mix of Caribbean and international cuisine, made with fresh local ingredients such as seafood and organic produce. Meals are served à la carte, with menus that change regularly.

Dining takes place at the elegant Elephant House, set overwater, and the relaxed Coral Café, a poolside spot for breakfast, lunch, and drinks. A full-board meal plan is available, and dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice.

Dive Information

Diving in Bocas del Toro offers access to vibrant coral reefs, shipwrecks, and diverse marine life across the archipelago. Popular sites in the area include Pandora, Buoyline, and Hospital Point, known for their healthy reefs and tropical fish.

Nayara Bocas del Toro does not have an on-site dive center, but diving can be arranged through trusted third-party operators in Bocas Town. A variety of dive experiences are available for both beginners and certified divers, with schedules and rates provided upon request.
