Siso Dwana Lodge is located in Sodwana Bay, South Africa, in KwaZulu-Natal. The closest airport is Durban – King Shaka International Airport, which is approximately 3.5 hours away from the lodge. Airport transfers are available for an additional fee, and guests are transported by shuttle or minibus.

The lodge is about 15 kilometers from the nearest town and provides a peaceful, secluded setting for diving, snorkeling, and exploring the surrounding area.

Diving in Sodwana Bay offers access to some of South Africa's most vibrant reefs, where you can see manta rays, sharks, dolphins, whale sharks, humpback whales, and a variety of macro critters. Siso Dwana Lodge's onsite dive center guides every dive at a 10:1 diver-to-guide ratio, with Open Water certification as the minimum requirement  making it an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced divers.

Siso Dwana Lodge serves local cuisine plated for guests, with specific dietary needs catered to with advance notice. The lodge provides a Half-Board meal plan that includes water, tea, and coffee, and guests may bring their own alcohol.

Sodwana Bay is home to the world's southernmost tropical coral reefs, which are located within iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The reef system is anchored by Two-Mile Reef, the largest in the area, which is over 2 kilometers long and 900 meters wide, with additional reefs providing deeper, more advanced diving. Sodwana Bay is a year-round diving destination, with the warmest water from November to April and the best visibility (often up to 30 meters) from April to September, while manta rays and whale sharks can be seen all year.

Beyond Diving

Guests looking to explore beyond the reef can add on a day excursion to Mozambique, including 2 dives, or take a Crocodile & Hippo Cruise on Lake St Lucia. The area also offers hiking and cultural and historical tours for a well-rounded stay on land and sea.

Siso Dwana Lodge has its own dive center, and all dives are guided at a 10:1 diver-to-guide ratio, with Open Water certification as the minimum requirement. The team prepares gear and runs a safety briefing before every dive.
