How To Get There
The Ark Lodge is more than happy to help organize transportation. Guests can fly in from any of the international airports and travel to Puerto Vidal by car, bus or taxi. From there, guests will board a boat for a 40-minute scenic ridethrough mangroves and rivers and along the pacific coast entering the bay of Pixvae.There are also options to park one's car in Puerto Vidal and leave it there for the duration of the stay.

The Coiba National Park is a fantastic hidden paradise located away from mass tourism, the park offers some of the most unique diving experiences in the world. Its diverse marine life offers encounters with the smallest sea creatures such as sea horses to the largest of mammals like the humpback whale. Dolphins and whale sharks are also frequently encountered during dives.

The Ark Lodge offers 3 cozy cabanas perfectly integrated with nature, making it a truly unique and private experience. The double cabana can accommodate up 2 people, while the quadruple cabana that can accommodate up to 4 people. Each cabana comes complete with aprivate bathroom, balcony, hot water, and wide panoramic ocean view.All the cabanas are also equipped with twin-size beds that can be easily converted to a king size.

Coiba National Park Dive Overview
The Coiba National Park forms a part of the Meso-American Biological Corridor; together with Cocos Island (Costa Rica), Galapagos Islands (Ecuador), and Malpelo Island (Colombia). This fantastic hidden paradise located away from mass tourism, the park offers some of the most unique diving experiences in the world. Offers encounters with the smallest sea creatures such as sea horses to the largest of mammals like the humpback whale, its marine life is diverse to say the least. Dolphins, whale sharks, giant mantas, and any one of the 33 shark species inhabiting the waters can also be frequently encountered during dives.
Diving is good year round at Coiba National Park. July to October is whale season, and you can get the chance to spot migrating humpback whales with their calves. From March to June, you can spot other pelagic animals such as hammerheads, giant mantas, schools of barracuda, and more.
The water temperature is usually around 27-29C (81-84F), but you can expect thermoclines from February to April with cooler water pushing up at 20C (68F) in the deeper regions. Visibility is also usually good and in between 15-20 meters (50-70 feet.)

THE ARK LODGE Dive Center Overview
The Ark Lodge Dive Team prioritizes safety as it guides its guests to a truly once-in-a-lifetime diving experience. In order to cultivate a special and intimate experience for all guests, the group size is limited to five divers per naturalist guide. With the dive center located only 20 minutes from the Coiba National Park, divers can expect comfortable boat rides and quick access, as well as the chance to explore diving areas where almost no one else goes.
