Duke of York Liveaboard Reviews

Duke of York was beautiful! The boat had everything we needed and best of all, the entire crew treated us with such kindness. They constantly made sure we are happy and that we feel great after each dive (constantly FEEDING our bellies). My trip consisted of 6 days of diving ~ average 3 a day. The crew gave us these amazing towels after our dives which honestly was one of the things I looked forward to after each dive. Smells like you just got out of a spa. We were never left hungry either. All the dive guides were very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions I had. Shared so many great info and videos/photos. Everything felt very "open arms" which really felt like they were part of our group. The room keeps were amazing, the room was never messy and trash...never seen them. The floors were constantly cleaned. The boat looked brand new every day. The kitchen staff by far worked the hardest in my opinion. While we enjoyed our option of AC or hot sun, the kitchen crew were always in the kitchen prepping our next meal and cleaning after us. The kitchen was like a sauna but that did not stop them from making delicious meals. The dingy (not sure if I spelled it right) crew also was on top of it. Our tanks were always prepared, always helping us with our gear. Danced with us during some of the longer journeys. Honestly, I cannot say how much I appreciate the Duke of York crew for making my first liveaboard the best trip ever.

The Duke of York is an amazing dive yacht! The upper deck cabins are spacious with beautiful views through their expansive windows. The entire boat is roomy with plenty of public areas to get a little alone time, even separate and apart from the cabin. The dive boat is not your traditional Zodiac/Panga, but is instead a large Dhoni that mirrors day boats in other diving destinations--it's two decks with a roof over the dive area, which is nice in the hot, Maldivian sun.The food on board is delicious, and there is a lot of variety. The staff is friendly and eager to assist. Best part of this boat, though, is the on-board masseuse, who worked hard during the trip I recently took (although I understand she doesn't come on every trip, so if this is an important amenity for you, check before booking). Overall, this is a luxury boat at a very reasonable price. It has ruined me for less nice liveaboards!
