Aqua Cat Liveaboard Reviews
Pathfinder
Best dive trip ever! But of course, everyone says that, right? What's special about Aqua Cat Cruises (Allstarliveaboards.com) is the crew's focus on everyone having the best trip of their lives, whether divers or not. On my last charter with Aqua Cat, I filled the boat with friends and family, 40 percent non-divers. On the diver side, we had relatively novice divers through instructor-trainer and technical instructors. Each person was elated with the boat, venue, food, and accommodations, not to mention the value. Yes, we are planning another Aqua Cat Cruise as soon as possible.

Very comfortable accommodations and love how all the cabins sit above the water level and have beautiful full view windows. The cabins are straight off the dive deck so no messing with stairs while you are cold and wet! Two hot showers on the dive deck make for a private way to undress and rinse off prior to going to your cabin. Food was awesome and the COVID precautions were impeccable! Captain Manny was a stickler for safety, but he was fun, fun, fun! The staff were all excellent - as well as the food. I would highly recommend.

Best Dive Trip Ever! The weather was perfect and the marine life was abundant. The staff really made the trip all that much more enjoyable. Despite 5 dives a day do plan to gain a little weight because the food is amazing.Even though the cabins are small you do not feel cramped at all.I definitely will be returning to the amazing Aquacat in the near future. Thanks for a great experience!

My wife and I took the Aqua Cat Live-aboard cruise in the Bahamas back in February and we loved it. Although the outer perimeter of the boat is a little banged up, the inside is clean and spacious. Our cabin (#8) was plenty big enough for the two of us and included an ensuite bathroom with shower. We really didn't even hear the other guests in their cabins. The food was amazing with lots of choices during each seating. Shark, shark, shark, and more sharks. Almost every dive we saw a shark or two with a shark feeding mid-week. My wife did her first discovery dive while on this trip and I told her don't get use to the crystal clear water as it's not always that nice. For non-divers there was plenty to do from snorkel boarding to sun bathing on a secluded island while everyone else is diving. There's several excursions during the week if you wish a short break from diving. Don't miss out seeing the swimming pigs. The crew was awesome and they made sure everyone was having a great time. There is no question that my wife and I will be doing this trip again with Aqua Cat Cruises.

My son and I dove from Aqua Cat a couple of weeks after Hurricane Sandy went through the Bahamas. There was considerable silt on some of the reefs, but we still got to see a good bit of Caribbean marine life, which sadly doesn't compare well with South Pacific marine life. (There are five times as many species of critters in the South Pacific, so it's not really a fair contest.) Interesting critters included lettuce nudis and lots of small shrimp. The boat, dive masters and crew were very good. This is the most spacious live-aboard I've ever been on, with almost hotel-size rooms. The chef was excellent--a lot of variety of foods (American, Italian, Bahamian). The shark dive is great--they tie a frozen bait ball to the bow of a wreck, and let the sharks have at it.

This was my first experience on a liveaboard, and it certainly live up beyond my expectation. The boat design is great and, and it is clear that it was designed as a diving liveaboard. The cabins are large and very comfortable, with more than enough storage space, and are fairly quiet. The dive deck is huge and never feels crowded. You are given a large storage bin for your personal gear; there are rinse tanks for cameras and masks, and a big table in the center for the cameras. There are two showers on the dive deck, which is very nice as you can shower as soon as you’re out of your gear without having to go to your room. The briefings before each dive were very thorough, and the dive crew was always very professional and helpful. 26 dives were offered during the week, including 4 night dives. The dive sites were really a mix, ranging from amazing to very disappointing. The 3 night dives I did were great, not to be missed. The shark feeding dive was very nice, as were the two drift dives we did.The rest of the boat is very spacious, and well maintained. The crew was great and very friendly, and the food was excellent and plentiful. There was also a lot to do apart from diving, with the crew organizing shore excursions and fishing.Overall this is a first class liveaboard, and I highly recommend it.
