Detailed information about the itinerary
Diving Itinerary
The diving routes depend on weather conditions, preferences, and guest experiences. The aim of the liveaboard, though, is to visit the most fantastic dive areas and often go to offshore banks likeFormigas islets, Dollabarat and Ambrosio Reef, and D. Joo de Castro bank. These areas have bigger chances of seeing big marine life like manta rays, Mobula rays, whale sharks, and much more. The Water & Wind Liveaboard usually departs from So Miguel and includes at least Santa Maria and Terceira Islands in their itinerary. Other locations can be visited too, and even adding land excursions to the itinerary when requested and weather permitted.
DIVE OVERVIEW
Azores diving offers scuba divers unique topography, diverse dive sites, and encounters with exciting marine life. Encounters with manta rays happen often and occasionally scuba divers can even see whale sharks. The Mediterranean parrotfish, large grouper, triggerfish, rainbow wrasse, ocean sunfish, devil rays, and sea turtles are just a few of the hundreds of coastal marine species thriving in this rich environment. These waters are also home to several species of nudibranchs and other macro subjects. Some lucky divers have also spotted sharks, like the mako and blue sharks, while diving the Azores.
