Dive Information
Located in remote South Halmahera, Nabucco’s Spice Island Resort offers world-class diving in one of Indonesia’s most untouched regions. Set in the Coral Triangle, the area boasts rich biodiversity, vibrant reefs, pelagic encounters, and unique macro life—all with very few divers in the area.
Daily dive trips are organized by the on-site Extra Divers dive center, with most sites just 5 to 20 minutes away by boat. The schedule includes up to 4 dives a day, including night dives, and groups are kept small for a more personal experience.
The dive center provides Nitrox (free for certified divers), rental equipment, 12L and 15L tanks (DIN & Yoke), camera facilities, and rinse areas. Whether you're here for wide-angle reefs or rare critters, the knowledgeable team ensures a safe and unforgettable dive experience.
Dive Center Information
The Extra Divers Spice Island dive center is located directly at the resort’s jetty and offers access to over 40 dive sites just 5 to 20 minutes away. Diving is done in small groups (max. 4 divers per guide), with up to five dives daily including early morning and night dives.
The dive center is well-equipped with rental gear, 12L tanks (15L on request), Nitrox (up to 30%), and two dive boats. Safety is a priority with oxygen, first aid, and L&W compressors on-site. Courses are offered under SSI standards, and the center is managed by passionate divers Benny and Steph.
Underwater highlights include reef sharks, turtles, pygmy seahorses, and the rare Halmahera Walking Shark. Pristine coral gardens and excellent macro life make it a dream destination for underwater photographers. A valid dive insurance policy is required for all guests.
Important: Due to the remote location of the resort, a valid travel health and dive insurance policy (e.g., DAN, aqua med, or similar) is required. Proof of insurance must be presented on-site.
