Dive Sites
The world-famous Rainbow Reef in the Somosomo Strait offers dramatic walls, colorful bommies, and sloping reefs shaped by powerful tidal currents that help coral thrive. Here are some of the standout sites:

The Great White Wall - The signature dive of the "soft coral capital of the world." A tunnel entrance leads divers down through the reef and out onto a sheer wall covered in pale, ghostly soft coral that appears to glow. Along the way, expect swim-throughs, abundant reef fish, and the kind of visibility that has made this one of the world's most photographed dive sites.
Jerry's Jellies - A gentler, shallower dive down a sloping reef to twin coral pinnacles tucked beneath a ledge covered in white and lavender soft coral. It's popular among underwater photographers, with orange anthias and pink corals framing the scene.
Fish Factory - True to its name, this site is teeming with life, from schooling reef fish to larger pelagics passing by. Its combination of wall and slope makes it a rewarding dive for divers of all skill levels, and it also serves as one of the best snorkeling spots in the area.
Dive Center Information
Diving is run through Taveuni Ocean Sports, the resort's family-operated dive center, just a five-minute walk from the resort, with free transport available on request. All dives are guided, with a diver-to-guide ratio of six to one, and the team welcomes divers of all skill levels, from complete beginners to those pursuing advanced certification. Snorkeling tours are also available for those who prefer to stay on the surface.
