Aquarius Diving Club – Makadi Bay

To reach Makadi Bay, fly into Hurghada International Airport (HRG). The dive center is located at Grand Waterworld Makadi, right off the Hurghada-Qena road, about 30 to 35 minutes south of the airport. Taxis are easy to find, and Aquarius can arrange a pickup for you.

Fly to Sharm El Sheik International Airport (SSH). The dive center is located at Coral Sea Sensatori Resort, about 10 to 15 minutes north of the airport along the coast toward Ras Nasrani. Free hotel transfers are available.

Aquarius dives in some of the best locations in the Red Sea. Boats leave Hurghada for the Giftun Islands, Abu Ramada, Carless Reef, and the El Mina wreck. In Sharm El Sheik, you can dive Ras Mohammed's reefs and the house reef at Ras Ghamila, or go on a day trip to Dahab's Blue Hole. Makadi Bay and Sahl Hasheesh both offer easy shore dives right from the beach. Along the way, you may see colorful reefs, macro creatures, dolphins, and even manta rays.

Marriott Beach Resort – Aquarius Diving Club, Hurghada

Marriott Beach Resort, has a private sandy beach and every room has at least a partial sea view. It has a large heated pool with a kids' section, a small spa, free tennis courts and a kids' club, and you can even get a massage on the resort's private bamboo island. The resort is in the middle of town, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. For a simpler, self-catering stay, SkyView Suites Hurghada is an aparthotel with 88 apartments with kitchens and balconies, an outdoor pool, a children's pool and a private beach area.

Grand Waterworld Makadi – Aquarius Diving Club, Makadi Bay

Grand Waterworld Makadi, is a five-star resort built around a big water park with slides, a wave pool and a lazy river. It has 7 restaurants and 9 bars, plus a kids' club, so it works well for families. Aquarius's stay and dive packages are with nearby Fort Arabesque, which has a long private beach, grounds with walking paths, five pools, four restaurants and five bars, and a spa.

Coral Beach Resort – Aquarius Diving Club, Sahl Hasheesh

Coral Beach Resort is a 309-room resort where rooms have private balconies or patios, along with two outdoor pools, a private beach and a spa. Set among green gardens, it offers an all-inclusive retreat for families and couples.

Coral Sea Sensatori – Aquarius Diving Club, Sharm El Sheikh

Coral Sea Sensatori is a 470-room luxury resort that separates families and couples into different zones, with a long private beach and floating jetties. It has six restaurants, five bars, five pools and a spa, and views of Tiran Island. The house reef is right by the jetty, with a lifeguarded snorkeling area that's good for beginners.

Hurghada

Aquarius runs daily boat trips from Hurghada to reefs and wrecks around the Giftun Islands, Abu Ramada, Umm Gamar and Abu Nugar. Highlights include Turtle Bay, Small Giftun, the Careless Reef pinnacles and the El Mina wreck, with dolphins and turtles often seen along the way. Most sites are suitable for all skill levels, with special trips to the Abu Nuhas wrecks, the Salem Express, and the Dolphin House.

• Turtle Bay: Is a horseshoe-shaped reef at Grand Giftun with a swim-through, popular for green and hawksbill turtles
• Small Giftun: A drift dive along a wall to a coral plateau, with mantas, dolphins and large schools of fish
• Careless Reef: An offshore plateau with two pinnacles and a deep wall, good for whitetip sharks and barracuda
  
• El Mina Wreck: A ship sunk in 1969, with large morays and glassfish inside
  
• Abu Nugar: A T-shaped reef with a shallow plateau, known for dolphins and napoleon wrasse
  
• Umm Gamar South: A sloping wall with coral pinnacles and gorgonian fans, with mantas and dolphins
  
• Abu Nuhas Wrecks: Four famous shipwrecks, including the Giannis D and Carnatic
  

Sahl Hasheesh

The Coral Beach house reef is located directly off the beach, with a gentle sandy slope and scattered coral patches down to about 25m. It's a calm spot for training, night dives and relaxed shore dives, and you might see eagle rays, turtles and morays. Daily boat trips also reach all the dive sites around Hurghada.

Makadi Bay

You can dive right from the beach at the Makadi Bay house reef, which is calm and colorful and ideal for turtles, morays, and night dives. Speedboats take 15 to 30 minutes to reach nearby reefs such as Ras Disha and Sharm El Arab, while longer trips go to Safaga for Panorama Reef and the Salem Express wreck. A special trip to Dolphin House is also available.

• Ras Disha: A fringing reef with lots of fish, often called a "fish tank"
  
• Sharm El Arab: A shallow coral garden with butterflyfish and clownfish

• Panorama Reef: A wall with gorgonians and drop-offs, with tuna and barracuda
  
• Salem Express Wreck: A ferry that sank in 1991, a respectful dive for wreck-certified divers
  
• Dolphin House (Shaab El Erg): A special trip to a huge reef famous for wild dolphins
  

Sharm El Sheikh

The Ras Gamila house reef is a long plateau covered in table corals, with crocodilefish and stingrays hiding underneath. Daily boats visit local reefs such as Ras Umm Sid and Shark's Bay, the well-known Tiran Island reefs such as Jackson and Gordon, and the walls of Ras Mohamed National Park, which is home to Shark and Yolanda Reefs. Special trips include visits to Dahab's Blue Hole and the SS Thistlegorm wreck.

• Ras Gamila House Reef: A long plateau of table corals, with crocodilefish and blue-spotted stingrays under them
  
• Ras Umm Sid: A steep wall with gorgonian fans and a large plateau, with napoleon fish and eagle rays

• Blue Hole, Dahab: A famous sinkhole with an arch at 55m (special trip)
