Blue Sea Diving Center

Blue Sea Diving Center is located inside Sunrise Anjum Resort, in the Ras Dory area of Marsa Alam, Egypt.

Marsa Alam is located on one of the Red Sea's most celebrated stretches of coastline, known for its dramatic reef walls, colorful coral gardens, and abundant marine life. Divers can expect to see manta rays, dolphins, whale sharks, and reef sharks on a regular basis, as well as more unusual sightings like stonefish, crocodile fish, and dugongs. The area's diverse reef, wreck, and open-water sites, including Elphinstone Reef, Abu Dabbab, Dolphin House, and Abu Ghusoun Wreck, cater to divers of all skill levels, from beginners exploring shallow reefs to experienced divers tackling deeper walls and wrecks.

Blue Sea Diving Center is based inside SUNRISE Anjum Resort, a family-friendly property right on the water in Ras Dory. The resort features a private beach, five swimming pools, three restaurants, and eight bars, as well as a children's club, gym, and spa. Rooms range from Superior Rooms to Junior Swim-Up Suites and Deluxe Beach Front Suites, and the resort is all-inclusive. Its beachfront location makes it an ideal base for guests diving with Blue Sea Diving Center, which operates right on-site.

Boat Dive Sites 

Banana Reef

• A short boat ride out, shaped like its name — long and curved, with calm waters and excellent visibility. Look for crocodile fish hiding in the sand, as well as glassfish, lionfish, and moray eels. Perfect for beginners and training sessions.
• Level: Beginner - Advanced

• This is a popular spot for divers of all skill levels due to its sloping coral walls and light currents. The upper reef is ideal for beginners, while deeper sections provide a thrill for experienced divers. Expect schooling snappers and fusiliers, moray eels, and the occasional turtle or ray.
  
• Depth: 10–30m | Visibility: 20–30m | Level: Beginner – Advanced
  

• The centerpiece of Marsa Alam diving is a narrow, 300-meter offshore reef about 12 kilometers out, with steep walls, strong currents, and thrilling pelagic encounters with oceanic whitetip and seasonal hammerhead sharks. Advanced divers only.
  
• Depth: 10–70+m | Visibility: 25–40m | Level: Advanced Only
  

• A compact offshore pinnacle near Sha'ab Ghadeer, rich in soft corals, gorgonians, and reef fish, with the occasional pelagic passing through the blue. A favorite among underwater photographers.
  
• Depth: 10–35m | Visibility: 20–30m | Level: Intermediate – Advanced
  

• This house reef, located just off the shore of Sunrise Anjum Resort, is calm and easy to reach via jetty or a short zodiac ride. With healthy coral, colorful reef fish, and occasional turtle and ray sightings, it's ideal for both training dives and relaxed exploration.

• A quiet, lesser-known crescent reef with gentle slopes and calm conditions, ideal for early training dives, macro photography, and relaxed exploration.
  
• Depth: 5–25m | Visibility: 20–30m | Level: Beginner – Intermediate

• A well-preserved reef system near the marina that combines shallow plateaus with deeper drop-offs. Provides vibrant coral, reef fish schools, and the occasional reef shark, turtle, and larger pelagic.
  
• Depth: 5–30+m | Visibility: 20–30m | Level: Beginner – Advanced
  

Shore Dive Sites

• Abu Ghusun – The Hamada wreck, a 1993 cargo ship resting in shallow water, is now a colorful artificial reef ideal for beginner wreck divers.
• Abu Siyal – A vibrant, less-crowded reef with large coral blocks and a variety of soft and hard corals, suitable for divers of all skill levels.
  
• Halg Shouna – A calm, protected bay with seagrass and coral bommies that is home to turtles and the occasional dugong.
  
• Marsa Abu Dabbab – A shallow sandy bay famous for dugong and green turtle encounters, with easy shore access for all levels.
  
• Marsa Assalaia – A quiet, shallow bay with seagrass and patch corals, ideal for entry-level divers and training dives.
  
• Marsa Egla – A wide bay with reliable green turtle sightings and the occasional dugong among its seagrass and reef.
  
• Marsa Murein –  A tranquil, protected bay with a sandy seabed, coral formations, and seagrass ideal for long, relaxing dives.
  
• Marsa Samadai –  A calm, less-visited bay near Dolphin House that provides easy coral-garden diving and serves as a good warm-up before Sha'ab Samadai.
