How To Get There

Guests fly into Grand Bahama International Airport (FPO) in Freeport. The dive center is located at Viva Fortuna Beach, which is about a 25-minute drive from there. Travel time varies depending on traffic and transfer arrangements.

Airport transfers are available at an additional cost. Because the dive center is located within the resort, you will not require any additional transportation to reach your dives once you arrive.

Dive Overview

The Caribbean Scuba Club provides guided dives off Grand Bahama, with reefs, blue holes, caverns, and three wrecks within 5 to 60 minutes of the resort by boat. All dives are guided, and the dive team checks each diver's certification and recent experience to match them with the right site. The highlight is Sharks Alley, where you can dive with Caribbean reef sharks alongside a dedicated shark expert after completing one regular dive with the team.

Guests stay at Viva Fortuna Beach by Wyndham, an all-inclusive resort in Freeport with the dive center right on site. Choose between Dive & Stay, Stay Only, and Stay & Snorkel packages, all of which include meals throughout your stay.

Dive Information

Diving in Grand Bahama takes place on the planet's third-largest barrier reef, with clear, warm water and sites just 5 to 60 minutes from the resort by boat. The mix includes reef dives, blue holes, caverns and three wrecks, from easy, shallow gardens for beginners to deeper sites for advanced divers. Morning trips rotate through reefs like Fortuna, Taino, Lucyan and Xanadu, while a shorter midday outing heads to Shallow Garden and Rainbow Reef for snorkeling and dives down to 5 m. Water temperatures are around 27°C.

The star attraction is Sharks Alley, where Caribbean reef sharks patrol the reef and often come in close. Dives are led by a dedicated shark expert with strict safety protocols, and you'll need one regular dive with the team beforehand. Divers with more experience can also explore the wrecks and deeper sites
