Extra Divers Lahami Bay

The dive center is located directly on the grounds of the Lahami Bay Resort. If you're flying from another country, there are few ways to get to the resort. Most people fly into one of the following airports:

• Marsa Alam International Airport (RMF) – the closest major international airport which is 180km away from the resort (approx. 2.5 hours by car). 
• Berenice International Airport – a new airport that is much closer, located about 20km from the resort. However, it's worth noting that it has limited availability, so that's something to consider when planning your trip.
• Hurghada International Airport (HRG) – another option, but not generally recommended as it's much further away at approx. 393km

Diving in Lahami Bay starts the moment you step off the beach. The bay is large and protected from the weather, with a coral ridge that's 1.5km long and shaped like a banana, right in front of the dive center. From here, you can explore at your own pace, and choose from a range of options like a peaceful dive along the shore, a thrilling zodiac ride to the outer reefs, or  a full-day adventure to Sataya, which is alsfo known as Dolphin House.

Lahami Bay Beach Resort is a great place to relax when you're not diving. The resort has beautiful gardens and pools, and the buildings are designed to fit in with the surroundings. It's a peaceful and spacious place, and the dive center is conveniently located right on the beach. You can easily walk from the water to wherever you want to go next, without needing to take a shuttle or deal with any hassle. This makes it a perfect spot for divers who want to unwind and enjoy their time out of the water. The resort's laid-back atmosphere and stunning scenery make it an ideal choice for those looking to combine diving with relaxation.

  

The banana-shaped house reef is the main attraction of the Lahami bay, it's wide, protected from the weather, and covered with all sorts of coral and reef fish. If you've done more than 25 dives and are an experienced diver, you can check the reef out on your own with a friend after a quick check dive. The dive center has tanks and weights that are open all the time, and the reef is open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

If you're looking for an amazing diving experience, you should check out the outer house reef. It's got seven different dive spots that you can get to by zodiac or speedboat. One of the best trips is to Sataya Kebir Reef, also known as Dolphin House. It's about a 1.5 to 2 hour boat ride south, and it's one of the few places in the Red Sea where you can see spinner dolphins in the wild. The outer reef at Sataya is also really cool for snorkeling.
