Explore the southern coast of Baja, one of the best places in the world to encounter pelagic sharks. Come face to face with these incredible ocean predators in a life-changing experience. Although sharks typically have an unfortunate reputation, in reality, they are shy and sensitive creatures. Mako sharks, blue sharks, silky sharks and smooth hammerheads can be seen in the waters throughout the year, with the mako and blue sharks appearing with the colder season, and the hammerheads and shilkies appearing during the warmer season.

The Mobula Munkiana, also known as Munk's Devil Ray, or Manta Cubana have a bi-annual migration in and out of the Sea of Cortez, passing through Cabo San Lucas. These huge schools of Mobula often reach up to the thousands.The Mobulas move gracefully through the water, often leaping into the air and landing with a slap on the surface of the water. They swim close to the water's surface, making it easy for people to swim, snorkel, and free dive easily among them.

The whales are members of the northeastern pacific population, estimated to have a population above 18,000. Striped Marlin Expedition

Guests will spend their days aboard a boat, exploring Magdalena Bay in Puerto San Carlos. The objective of the trip is to find the Striped Marlin, a species of pelagic billfish, as they migrate and feed. The sardines that gather in the bay attract the Marlins and provide us with a unique opportunity to observe them as they hunt the sardine balls.

Guests will explore the spectacular coast of Baja California in hopes of seeing the bi-annual migration of the Mobula Munkiana. These magnificent creatures gather every year in the thousands and travel along the coast of the Sea of Cortez. The Mobula Munkania is actually just one of three other Mobula species that can be encountered here. The Mobulas are graceful as they glide through the water, almost like flying. They sometimes fly out of the water as well, reaching almost two meters out of the water with their acrobatic might.
