The Komodo National Park offers one of the most biodiverse marine environments on the planet. Located at the meeting point of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, Komodo is a paradise of nutrient-rich water and strong currents. Offering world-class encounters with manta rays, reef sharks, turtles, large schools of fish, and vibrant coral reefs, divers of all experience levels can find something to enjoy. 

Papition Dive offers daily dive trips into the Komodo National Park aboard the Ossea, the largest wooden diving vessel on the island. The vessel is specifically designed for comfort and efficiency, it features multiple shaded relaxation areas and a large dive deck with other facilities. Guests are sure to have an enjoyable and relaxing time onboard in between dives. 

Day Diving in Komodo

Season: Year-round (best conditions vary by region and currents) 

Departure: Morning (typically 7:00–8:00 AM) 

Duration: Full-day trips (2–3 dives depending on itinerary) 

Experience: Certified divers (Open Water minimum recommended)

Experience some of the most iconic dive sites that the Komodo National Park has to offer. Guests can expect dynamic drift dives with excellent visibility. Frequent encounters with large marine species can be also be expected.

The Komodo National Park is one the best places to encounter manta rays. Dive sites like Manta Point and other surrounding cleaning stations are hotspots where divers can observe the graceful giants go through their cleaning routine.

For those seeking a thrilling adventure, the northern and central Komodo dive sites offer exciting drift diving though nutrient-rich channels and coral reefs. Divers can expect vibrant reefs, large schools of fish, and the occasional reef shark.

Papiton Dive also organizes multiple-day diving trips aboard the Cordelia Phinisi. This 33-meter phinisi liveaboard offers 5 spacious and well-appointed cabins, making the vessel perfect for intimate trips exploring Komodo. The onboard spaces also include an indoor lounge, dining area, sun deck, and a spacious dive deck.

Guests can fly in through the nearest international airport, the Komodo International Airport (LBJ). The dive center is located around 10 - 15 minutes via a car transport.
