To get to Scuba Butler Fuvahmulah, guests fly into Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé before connecting onward, and the team takes care of transfers from the airport straight to your accommodation.

From Malé, the connecting flight lands at Fuvahmulah Airport (FVM). There are no international flights to Fuvahmulah; all arrivals connect through Malé.

• From Malé (MLE) – Velana International Airport: a domestic flight of around 1 hour and 25 minutes, operated by Maldivian Airlines, running daily.

Fuvahmulah is one of the few places on earth where divers can expect close, consistent encounters with tiger sharks, often in shallow water just 6 to 8 meters deep. This is possible thanks to the island's unique position: unlike the ring-shaped atolls elsewhere in the Maldives, Fuvahmulah stands alone in the path of deep ocean currents, with steep walls dropping straight into open water just off the reef. This attracts a diverse range of pelagic life, from tiger sharks and hammerheads to oceanic manta rays, right on the doorstep.

Fuvahmulah is home to well over a dozen dive sites, ranging from calm, sheltered reefs to advanced drift dives. The following are some of the standout sites divers can expect to visit, but tiger shark diving remains the highlight, with close, reliable encounters possible on almost every trip.

• Femunu Kol (Beginner) - Known as the "Tiger Shark Dive Zone," this is the site people come to Fuvahmulah for. It sits at the island's only channel entrance and is widely regarded as one of the best places in the world to dive with tiger sharks.
• Maaneyre (Beginner) - A sheltered site during the northeast monsoon, home to a wide variety of hard corals and colorful marine life.
  
• Kandasho (Beginner) -  A popular bait-fishing spot during the southwest monsoon, protected by its half-bay shape. A good reminder to keep an eye on the open water here.
  
• Thona Faro (Advanced) - Also called "Cheers Reef" for its wine-glass shaped bottom, formed decades ago during harbor construction. Strong currents create a swirling effect, and tiger sharks are sometimes spotted here too.
  
• Nere Muli (Advanced) - Famous for year-round hammerhead sightings, though currents here can be strong and unpredictable.
  
• Aruh Fanno (Advanced) - A colorful reef dive known for large coral heads and healthy fire coral formations.
  
• Kalho Akiri (Advanced) - A relaxed drift dive along one of the region's healthiest coral gardens, home to over 28 species of hard coral.
  
• Hawwa Faro (Advanced) - A historic reef with vibrant coral cover, popular for both drift diving and local baitfishing.
  
• Ebithe Faro (Advanced) - A dramatic dive that drops from a sandy slope into depths beyond 100 meters, a favorite among underwater photographers.
  
• Abadhas (Advanced/Expert) - Set between the harbor and the island's southern tip, this site reliably brings encounters with some of the ocean's largest sharks, including silvertips, threshers, tiger sharks, and occasionally whale sharks.
  
• Fari Kede (Advanced/Expert) - Located at the island's southernmost point, this short but intense dive is known for large numbers of pelagic species passing through.
