Dive Trip Overview

Manta Scuba offers several dive trips that you can choose.

Local Diving – Cabo Reserve

Discover the magnificent underwater landscape as well as the hundreds of species of marine life which will make this an unforgettable diving experience. The place that Jacques Cousteau discovered and later named, 'The Underwater Aquarium of the World…'

This dive site is a must-do in Los Cabos and an unforgettable experience.

Combo Local & Corridor

The 3 tank Combo will allow you to explore two different areas in only half day. This tour is ideal for those who have only one day of diving while here in Cabo San Lucas.

Discover the magnificence of the spectacular underwater landscape as well as the hundreds of species of marine life which will make this an unforgettable diving experience.

This tour will allow you to explore 2 different areas: the Cabo San Lucas marine park (local area), where you can see the Sand falls, a sea lion colony, abundant marine life, and the Corridor area, where you can see more corals. The Corridor is a bit more quiet in terms of boat traffic and during the Whale migration season you will be able to hear them singing while you are diving.

The Corridor

The rocky reef formations are different from those found in the Marine Park and offer different dive profiles and are especially good for encounters with schooling rays.

Most mornings, the 2 tank trips for certified divers head out to the Corridor to begin the day with these underwater safaris. This allows divers to see more sites and make the most of our multiple day packages.

In the months from December to April, we usually find Humpback and Grey Whales cruising along the shore, posing for photos!

Cabo Pulmo Diving

Cabo Pulmo is a famous National Park located on the Sea of Cortez side of the Baja peninsula. The National Marine Park features one of the world's healthiest coral reefs. A quiet and remote fishing village, 2 hours' drive from Cabo San Lucas, Cabo Pulmo also offers a change in scenery from the crowded Los Cabos area; Serene sandy beaches, and the Baja desert all around.

Cabo Pulmo diving is a unique experience and an amazing adventure for Open water divers as well as experienced divers.

Night Dive

Night dives always show us an entirely new world. The scene changes as day creatures retire and nocturnal organisms emerge, even a familiar site looks different at night. When you make a day dive, you normally scan the entire dive site looking at your surroundings. At night, you see only the area of the dive site that is lit by your light. This forces you to slow down and concentrate on that one area.

We usually do our night dives at the area of Pelican Rock, where the darkness brings out all kinds of interesting marine life such as Lobsters, Crabs, Sea Worms, Stingrays and octopuses. Your dive light will illuminate the walls, revealing a dazzling display of color that cannot be seen during the day. You may see moray eels and octopuses swimming to hunt or the parrot fish sleeping inside their protection bubble.

It is always recommended to dive the site during the day prior to doing a night dive.

We dove with Manta Scuba in December 2018. I was afraid the water would be really cold so I wore my 5/4 wetsuit and I was glad I did. We dove all around Cabo in the protected parks. There are so many fish it is like swimming in an aquarium. There are resident sea lions that live on the point and they are frequent visitors to your dives, prepare for a sea lion cameo at any time. Manta also took us out to Gordo Banks, our boat saw a gray whale on the trip out it was magnificent. I would recommend going out to Gordo Banks, there is not much coral, but you will see lots of sharks and bigger schools, along with some smaller rays.

Manta has the highest reputation among dive operators in Cabo San Lucas for a reason - they're professional, safe, run very nice boats and offer a full-service PADI 5-star dive center.

I've dived with Manta twice in the last two years, and on both occasions the staff has been very fun and friendly. They also offer whale watching during the winter months (migrating humpbacks), plus dive trips to Gordo Banks and Cabo Pulmo. They will even take you snorkeling with whale sharks in La Paz during late summer.

Long story short - Manta is THE operator to dive with in Cabo!

Manta is a PADI Dive Resort. I'm not sure what that means exactly but this is strictly a gear rental, dive trip shop. This would be an ideal dive resort for someone who took the classroom/pool portion somewhere cold and wanted to do open water work somewhere the diving was phenomenal.

Staff is extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They helped me recover some photos and video I ham-handed trying to save. Very attentive in or above the water, maybe a bit overbearing for an experienced diver. Explained the dive sites very well and allowed for excellent dive planning.

The boats are a bit on the small size for my liking, but I'm 60 years old and not as spry as I was a few years ago. Excellent dive sites were just minutes from the marina. DO take their whale shark trip. Absolutely do their whale shark trip. You can add a dive with really friendly sea lions which was absolutely great. The sea lion portion is a long boat ride (sea above).

I checked out 5 or 6 Cabo dive sites and this is my favorite by far. I will be back to Cabo and I will dive with Manta again.
