Accommodation Overview
There are 16 cottages on the island that makeup Agusta Eco Resort. All 16 cottages have ocean views and can accommodate a maximum of 30 people at one time, making the resort a calm and peaceful escape from busy lives. The 16 cottages are split into three categories, five Deluxe cottages, five Superior cottages, and six Raja cottages. Cottages can be set up with two individual single beds, a double, or a combination of singles and doubles, depending on the variety.
Agusta is a private island surrounded by coral reefs and home to the most idyllic palm tree-lined white sand beaches. The resort takes its environmental responsibilities seriously. They have installed a solar system and are committed to reducing their impact on nature.
How to Get There
There are direct flights daily from Jakarta to Sorong’s Domine Eduard Osok Airport in Sorong (SOQ). If requested, staff will welcome you in Sorong at the airport in the morning and arrange breakfast in a local hotel before heading to Agusta Eco Resort. The final leg of the journey between Sorong and Agusta is taken by boat and lasts about two hours.
There is also a public ferry that takes the guests from Sorong to Waisai (2 hours) where they will continue to Agusta Resort on a speed boat (1 hour ride).
Dive Overview
Raja Ampat is one of the world's top dive destinations and is home to an abundance of marine life.
You can expect to see stunning reefs and corals, wobbegong, reef and Raja Ampat's endemic walking sharks, jacks and barracuda. At most dive sites, Napoleon wrasse, trevally, bumphead parrotfish and pygmy seahorses are also common. For macro lovers, there are many nudibranch species at most dive sites.
