Truk Lagoon's waters are calm and offer excellent diving year-round. The islands and fringing coral reefs that encircle Truk Lagoon provide a protective barrier from large waves and strong ocean currents.
This strategically located natural harbor is why the Imperial Japanese Navy made Chuuk one of their most important naval bases during World War II. Truk Stop Hotel is located at its historic epicenter, on Weno (Moen) Island.

Truk Stop Hotel Dive Center Overview
The Truk Stop Hotel has an on-site dive center to ensure that guests are supported as they begin their dive adventure in Truk. The dive center offers up to 4 dives per day, featuring a private dock, dive lockers, rinse tanks, and shower to make diving easy and convenient. Bauer Compressors and a Haskell for blending Nitrox and Trimix is also available.
