The Amarina dive center, based at the Amarina Hotel on Nosy Be’s northern coast, is roughly an hour’s drive and best reached by private transfer. For those diving at the remote Tsarabanjina location in the Mitsio Archipelago, transfers are arranged by the Constance Tsarabanjina resort via speedboat or seaplane from Nosy Be, as the island is not accessible by road.

Dive Information
The waters surrounding Nosy Be, off Madagascar’s northwest coast, offer some of the most biodiverse and uncrowded diving in the Indian Ocean. The region boasts an abundance of healthy coral reefs, volcanic rock formations, pinnacles, and drop-offs teeming with life. Divers can expect encounters with turtles, reef sharks, rays, and large schools of snapper and barracuda, along with macro treasures like nudibranchs and leaf scorpionfish. Seasonal highlights include whale sharks (October to December) and humpback whales (July to September), as well as occasional sightings of mantas and mobulas.
Blue Wave Diving accesses a wide range of dive sites from its three strategic locations in Madirokely, Amarina, and Tsarabanjina, with each offering something unique. From Madirokely and Amarina, day boats explore vibrant reefs near Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve, drift dives at Gorgone or Shark Point, and deeper sites in the Radama Archipelago for more advanced divers. At Tsarabanjina, located in the remote Mitsio Archipelago, guests enjoy pristine and rarely visited sites, known for dramatic underwater topography and excellent visibility.
