Pemba Island is home to some of the healthiest coral reefs in the Indian Ocean, offering dramatic wall dives, colorful coral gardens, and thrilling drift dives with visibility often exceeding 30 meters. Pemba's dive sites are defined by steep drop-offs, vibrant coral walls, and strong currents that attracts abundant marine life. The Njao Gap, is an iconic drift dive through a deep channel surrounded by coral walls and overhangs, where divers encounter schools of trevally and barracuda, large groupers, turtles, and occasional pelagic visitors. Fundu Gap, widely considered one of Tanzania's finest dive sites, offers a spectacular drift through a natural gap between Fundu Island and the reef, with towering coral walls covered in soft corals, sea fans, sponges, and frequent sightings of reef sharks, manta rays, Napoleon wrasse, and schools of snapper and jacks.

Aside from these sites, Pemba Dive Center also operates trips to Misali Island and Emerald Wall, offering a variety of experiences ranging from calm shallow reefs ideal for beginners to exhilarating deep walls for experienced divers. Visibility frequently exceeds 30 meters, and all dives are conducted in small groups lead by licensed PADI instructors and experienced local dive masters.
