Food & Drinks
Ocean Hunter owner and renowned chef and cookery writer Tova Har-el has developed a delicious gourmet menu. She has not only had extensive experience as a chef, but specifically as a liveaboard chef! As a dedicated diver herself who knows the importance of low-fat, fiber-rich meals, Tova designed the menu with international cuisines such as Palauan, Italian, Mediterranean, French and Japanese (with fresh sashimi and sushi), and with a bit of her own style as well. She has worked extensively with our cook Arlee. Ocean Hunter III also offers a full bar and refrigerator of drinks for guests. Mineral water is always free, however, we must charge $1.50 for soft drinks and $3.00 for beer.

Ocean Hunter III Liveaboard Reviews

I've been fortunate to dive in many parts of the world; Fiji, Australia, Maldives, Hawaii, Caribbean and more. One thing I'm sure of is that Ocean Hunter III, Palau is the premier dive boat live aboard in the Pacific.Compared to other Dive Live aboards it is run like a boutique hotel where divers are pampered and spoiled, and where you can forget about losing weight on your trip. Run by Navot and Tova Bornovski of Fish N Fins in Palau, it has the expertise to take you to the best possible sites , sooner, faster and in greater comfort than any other live aboard in Palau. The cabins are plush and luxurious, far exceeding the typical accommodations one experiences on a dive boat. In fact some days, divers decided to simply pamper themselves, sleep in, relax in the jacuzzi, stretch out on the sun decks, snorkel about the boat and indulge in the rich assortment of calorific delicacies. One night we encountered mantas, sharks and a curious tiger shark around the boat as the other divers were out checking out macro photo material. As a marine engineer, Navot has scrupulously designed all aspects of the boat for safety, convenience and efficiency, while Tova has designed the interior to a level of comfort that any plush hotel would envy. For photographers, there is tremendous room for all their gear, and plenty of storage for dive gear also. The crew have been groomed to cater to all aspects of divers needs and the captain and dive guides are superb in their attention to detail, safety and all aspects of support. It is superior to any other boat in Palau and almost certainly in the Pacific. The marine life and diving is superlative and there is no better way to experience it than to be on an Ocean Hunter III adventure. Of course Fish N Fins also has other boats, such as Ocean Hunter I, which has been totally refitted to provide an intimate trip in a smaller sailing vessel, and meets all the high standards that the Bornovski's have demanded.I cannot think of a more extraordinary way to explore the amazing dive mecca of Palau than aboard one of these boats. I can't wait to return !
