Daku Resort DIVE OVERVIEW  

Explore Fiji’s awe-inspiring reefs, home to the most spectacular soft corals in the world and teeming with marine life. Discover why Fiji is one of the top scuba diving destinations in the world with the possibility of spotting sharks, large barracuda, giant groupers, and a host of tropical reef fish.

Savusavu Bay is beautiful topside, but once you dive under the surface, you’ll discover Fiji’s most spectacular and vibrant landscapes: its coral reefs. Dendronephthya is one of the most exceptional soft corals and is abundant in Fiji in a spectrum of colors including pink, purple, orange, yellow, and red. 

Underwater photographers will find no shortage of subjects in Fiji, whether interested in taking wide-angle images of coral reefs, macro photos of small critters, or candid shots of the larger fish swimming in the blue.

Dive a wide variety of sites, both named and unnamed, around Savusavu Bay and the Koro Sea. Explore fascinating topography including plummeting walls, swim-throughs, and overhangs. Visit exciting open reefs, such as Alice in Wonderland, and look for small reef sharks sheltering under large corals. While further afoot, Namena Island is well worth the fuel surcharge and marine reserve fees as you won’t want to miss its pristine reefs, which are in a league of their own.

Dive Center Information

Daku Resort Dive Center Overview 

Located a short 5-minute drive from Daku Resort, Jean-Michel Cousteau Diving will take care of all your scuba needs. The dive center can accommodate 46 divers using four dive boats and offers a full range of courses suitable for new divers or those wishing to improve their diving knowledge and skills. 

This professionally run dive operation has an outstanding reputation and takes divers off the map to explore unnamed dive sites, making your Fiji diving experience even more memorable. You can choose between 1 or 2 dives per day, and with the quality of diving in the area, we’re sure you’ll want to do 2 dives!

Towels and refreshments are included on all dives, so just bring your gear (don’t forget your camera!) and enjoy. Nitrox is available at a surcharge for Nitrox certified divers. Regularly maintained high-quality rental equipment is available at an additional charge.
