Dive Information

One of the finest diving destinations in the world, French Polynesia promises a rich underwater experience — and Huahine stands out as a true diver’s paradise. With pristine reefs, clear lagoon waters, and access to exciting pass dives via the on‑island dive center Pacific Blue Adventure (just five minutes from the resort), both novices and experienced divers can enjoy the sea.

Expect to encounter grey reef sharks, black‑tip and white‑tip sharks, barracudas, jackfish, tuna, eagle rays, moray eels, and a dazzling variety of vibrant reef fishes. Dive sites range from gentle lagoon slopes for beginners to dramatic passes and drop‑offs — including the famed Avapehi Pass and Fa’a Miti — where strong currents sometimes bring pelagics and large schools, creating unforgettable underwater encounters.

Dive Center Information

At Maitai Lapita Village Huahine guests have access to diving services through the nearby Pacific Blue Adventure dive center (just ~5 minutes from the resort, in the village of Fare).

  • Pacific Blue Adventure is affiliated with PADI and SSI — great for certified divers or those wanting to learn.
  • They offer “baptism” dives (for first‑time divers), exploration dives, and daily dive trips — often at 8:30 AM or 10:30 AM, from their harbor in Fare.
  • Dive sites around the island can feature grey sharks, rays, tuna, barracudas, jackfish, moray eels, and seasonal sightings of dolphins and humpback whales (typically July–November).
