How To Get There

Moorea is a seven-minute flight or 30-minute catamaran ride from Tahiti. The hotel is located in the North of Moorea, between Cook's Bay and Opunohu Bay and is a 20-minute drive from Moorea airport and 25 minutes from Mooreas ferry dock. Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa can arrange your ground transfers from both the ferry dock and Moorea airport with a transportation company.

Dive Information

Dive Overview

Moorea has the shape of a trident with her two beautiful bays (Cook and Opunohu). Moorea is described as a gigantic garden with tropical fragrances, lush vegetation, peaceful rivers, waterfalls, beautiful fare with pandanus roofs surrounded by some beautiful gardens. Some beautiful white sand beaches emerge here and there. Moorea is surrounded by a coral reef opened by 12 passes, including one with the dock of ferry from Tahiti, sister island, located 17 km away. We're never tired of diving into the clear water where all water activities can be practiced, motorized or not to meet the stingrays and other many species of colorful fish. Some of the highlights of Moorea diving the Moorea Shark experience, where you actually get to swim with the sharks in a safe and calm atmosphere and the deep dive in the Garden of Roses beautiful coral roses (Montipora) are not to be missed!

Inter-island Gold Pass

With their 6, 10 or 20-dive inter-island Gold pass, you can dive on 6 islands: Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Rangiroa, Fakarava and Tikehau. The package is only for certified divers and can be used by 2 divers in any of the TOPDIVE centers and with Tahiti diving.

Nitrox Diving In French Polynesia

Scuba diving with enriched nitrox air allows for no more decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives. In all TOPDIVE centers, Nitrox dives are offered at no extra charge for all Nitrox certified divers. For non certified divers, they offer Nitrox PADI certifications, SSI, FFESSM/CMAS, ANMP/Cedip and PADI.

Blue Honeymoon Dive

This private dive will be organized just for you and your loved one, accompanied by your own diving instructor and an instructor that will capture your most memorable undersea moments on camera. This excursion is available at TOPDIVE dive centers TAHITI, MOOREA & BORA BORA. Excursion includes : 2 introductory dives with a private instructor, shell leis, a refreshing after-dive fruit drink and your romantic dive recorded on USB driver!

Discover Shark Diving

The Polynesian waters play host to many different species of sharks. With our experienced divemasters at TOPDIVE, we can assure the safest possible conditions in order for you to observe and marvel at the beauty of this mysterious creature. TOPDIVE Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Rangiroa and Fakarava dive centers offer a SSI specialty course called, SSI Shark Ecology. Its purpose is to allow any certified diver the opportunity to identify, recognize and describe shark species in relaxed and secure conditions. The standard dive rule-of-thumb for observation of these species is usually to be slightly negatively buoyant as to adhere close to the sea floor, and not to attract too much attention. Main species in French Polynesia : The White tip lagoon shark, The Grey reef shark, Blacktip reef shark, Lemon shark. During the course of your dives, you may encounter other shark species like the Silvertip shark, the Silky shark, the oceanic whitetip shark, the Tiger shark and even the Whale shark.
