About Anse Chastanet Resort
Anse Chastanet sits on a lush 600-acre hillside above a sheltered bay on St Lucia’s southwest coast, just north of Soufrière. The resort overlooks the iconic Pitons and a protected marine reserve right in front of the beach, so you’re never far from great diving or stunning views.
Rooms are spread up the hillside and along the beach, with many open-air designs, hardwoods, and colorful Caribbean decor. It feels like a boutique eco-lodge rather than a big resort—quiet, romantic, and very nature-focused. Walking around the property you’re surrounded by rainforest, flowers, and birds, with the sound of the ocean always in the background. From a dive traveler’s perspective, we love that you can roll out of your room, walk down to the beach, and be diving on an excellent house reef within minutes. It’s an easy place to combine relaxed Caribbean vacation time with high-quality, hassle-free diving. Booking through Bluewater Travel, you get personalized help choosing room types (the layouts and views here vary a lot), dive packages tailored to your experience level, and unbiased advice based on what our dive travel specialists look for in a Caribbean dive resort. We also help you coordinate flights, transfers, and add-ons so the trip runs smoothly from start to finish.
How To Get There
Fly into Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) in the south of St Lucia. From there, it’s about a 45–60 minute scenic drive along the coast to Anse Chastanet. The resort can arrange private or shared transfers, and we can help you line these up with your flight times.
You can also fly into George F. L. Charles Airport (SLU) near Castries, mainly for regional connections; the drive from SLU is about 75–90 minutes. Most divers prefer UVF for convenience.
Because the resort is tucked into its own secluded bay, you won’t be walking to town, but that seclusion is part of the charm—once you arrive, you’re on island time.

Anse Chastanet Resort Dive Sites
Anse Chastanet Reef (House Reef)
The house reef starts just off the beach, with a sloping reef, coral heads, sponges, and plenty of fish life. It’s ideal for check-out dives, relaxed macro dives, and night dives. Access is easy, and you can dive this reef many times without it getting repetitive.
Anse Mamin
A short boat ride away (or a walk to the neighboring bay for some dives), Anse Mamin often has excellent fish life and healthy coral cover. It’s great for wide-angle photography and very friendly to less experienced divers.
Piton Area Sites
Near the famous Piton peaks, you’ll find dramatic underwater topography with steeper walls, deeper slopes, and the feeling of diving beside submerged volcanic mountains. These are popular with more experienced divers looking for a bit more depth and structure.
Nearby Reefs & Walls
The coastline around Anse Chastanet features a series of reefs, mini-walls, and gentle drifts, all within short boat rides. You get good variety without long boat rides, plus the bonus of a house reef worth multiple dives.
