Diving & Snorkeling Ambergris Caye

Less than a mile off the coast of Ambergris Caye is the second largest barrier reef in the world, creating a unique underwater setting for arguably the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the Caribbean.

Around the island, there are countless dive sites, where you can find spectacular three-dimensional coral formations, canyons, tunnels, swim-throughs, and caverns, all at depths up to 200 feet and crystal clear visibility up to 150 feet.

Marine life is abundant. Schools of Nassau groupers and angelfish, lobsters, stone crabs, moray eels, and rays are just some of the wildlife you are likely to spot around Ambergris Caye. Reef sharks, nurse sharks, whale sharks and loggerhead turtles are also common. Nurse sharks are more commonly spotted along Ambergris Caye than anywhere else in Belize.

Their dive center, Ambergris Divers, is conveniently located at their sister property SunBreeze Hotel in the heart of San Pedro Town. Ambergris Divers, is a 5* PADI Resort, mid-size operation with hands on management providing a dedicated and true personalised service. They offer scuba diving tours and snorkel tours; offering a range of dive experiences within the immediate Barrier Reef and marine reserve areas. A range of entry level dive certification courses and recreational progressive courses are also offered.
