How To Get There

The resort is located in Glover's Reef. Transfers are via boat from a remote inlet south of Dangriga and take between 1 hour and 90 minutes. Boat transfers to and from the island are only provided on Wednesday's and Saturday's.

The facility is geared to host 32 guests in 12 cabanas and 2 family-style Reef House.

Shoreline Cabana

• Isla Marisol Resort has 12 private cabanas. Each cabana comes fully equipped with:
• 1 queen berth and 1 double berth
• Hot and cold fresh water shower
• Air conditioning 6pm to 6am
• Stand-up fan in each room
• Veranda with hammock and 2 chairs
• There are no phones or televisions in the rooms
• Power is 110 Volt A.C.; the same as the U.S.

Reef House

• There are 2 family style Reef Houses for 4 people sharing or a family of 5. Each Reef House has:
• 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms
• Air Conditioning in both rooms
• Hot and cold fresh water showers
• Futon in the living room can also serve as a double bed for single or young adult
• Ceiling fans
• 36ft x 10ft veranda for star gazing or just relaxing with the Caribbean breeze.
• There are no phones or televisions in the rooms
• Power is 110 Volt A.C., the same as the U.S.

Beach Front Cabana

• At Isla Marisol Resort, guests enjoy a delicious Belizean meal in a casual setting that is down to earth and enjoyable. All meals are inclusive and are served family style (with the exception of our breakfast buffet). The cuisine is prepared daily with a variety of fresh fish, meats, salads, fruits, vegetables, deserts, and other local specialties.
• Snacks are served each evening at the bar and help get the evening storytelling and socializing off to a good start. Friday night is a traditional Belizean BBQ dinner.
• The Bar is situated more than 120ft off the beach and offers guest and the staff the opportunity to relax and share stories on the days event from Fishing, Diving, Snorkeling or just plain relaxing with your favorite cocktail before dinner is served. Bar Charges are not included in your package. Sodas are considered part of the bar charges. Outside alcohol may be brought to the island.

Diving Glovers Reef Atoll

Isla Marisol resort offers a full range of scuba diving activities for all guests to participate in. Glovers Reef Atoll has the best diving sites available in Belize and probably the region.

What makes Glovers Reef so special? The location has a lot to do with the success of managing one of the true gems of the Caribbean. With a comprehensive management program by both the fisheries department and Wild Life Conservation Society to have enacted the no-take zone within one-third of the Atoll and issuing a limited number of fishing license to the local fishermen who have fished these waters for more than 50 years.

Glovers Reef Atoll with only five coconut studded island inside an 80 sq. mile lagoon has been able to sustain a very healthy marine environment, we hope others in the region will be able to follow and retain the fish population in these protected areas. The balance of tourism and local commercial fishermen co-existing in an environment which benefits the majority is not easily developed but with long-term benefits to the survival of the fish population especially the export market variety is crucial to the survival of the atolls long-term goals.

Whale Shark Dives

Whale shark dives are special excursions from Isla Marisol Resort & Fantasy Island. They are offered each year from March through June during the full moon. These trips are 2 tank dives with lunch and park fees included. You will depart Isla Marisol at 11 am to do your first dive at 12 pm and your second dive at 4 pm arriving back at Marisol at 6 pm. These trips are not guaranteed and the weather could be rough. They take pride in safety first and guests are expected to respect and follow the rules of safe diving practice.

Isla Marisol resort offers a full range of scuba diving activities for all guests to participate in. Glovers Reef Atoll has the best diving sites available in Belize and probably the region. Isla Marisol Resort takes pride in their well-trained staff. All the dive masters and captains have attended a two-day course on Whale Shark Diving presented by Southern Environmental Association, the organization managing the Gladden Spit Marine Park.

The Boats

• 2 - 36ft Centre Console powered with twin 200HP outboard engines that are fully equipped with Radio and GPS. The Centre Console dive, and fish boats are used primarily around the Atoll for their activities, these boats have very shallow drafts which allow them access to some of the best sites without traveling outside the Atoll in rough seas.
• 1 - 25ft Panga powered by a 75hp Outboard engine. Our Panga is mostly used for snorkeling and fly fishing inside the Atoll; The Captain has an emergency hand-held VHF radio for emergency.
• 1 - 45ft Twin Diesel powered boat used for transfer Weds. And Sat., excursion away from the Atoll i.e., Blue Hole dives, Whale Sharks dives and Turneffe Atoll dives. They do make an exception to offshore fishing with their boat for the Deep Sea trolling for Tunas, Wahoos, King Mackerel and Marlins.
• 1 - 38ft Centre Console powered with twin 200hp outboard engines fully equipped with Radio and GPS.
