Lost Island Voyages - The Avalon
Just got back from an amazing trip aboard the Avalon with Lost Island Voyages in the Bahamas. The crew was amazing and the food was also fabulous. Sarah, who was a local resident of the Bahamas, was our cook on board and she made everything from Italian, American, to Bahamian cuisine - all of which were amazing. We got to pick our dive sites or go off the suggestions of the crew. We also free dove for lobster & conch and got to spear lionfish on all dives outside the marine parks. The choice was ours. Sara also cooked up anything we caught and let us help if we wanted to learn how. Night dives were fabulous and I loved the amazing Washing Machine dive site. Divemaster Jeff was always entertaining and an excellent divemaster with tons of experience well above DM. Captain Ray was very accommodating and made everyone feel right at home aboard his beautiful sailboat the Avalon. He even let us help with the sails and taught us several things as we traveled if we were interested. I can't wait to go back!
