Moorea is one of the most beautiful islands in the world. The humpback whale encounters in Aug, Sep, Oct are the best in the world. The snorkeling with fish, sharks and rays is amazing - especially at the Moorea lagoonarium, and the diving is decent. The topside activities are a huge draw. The island is quiet, friendly, and moves slowly in a good way. You can ride a bike around the island, walk, hitchhike, or drive. The restaurants are amazing. It is not cheap, but overtime I've realized that Moorea is worth the extra expense.

The island is a close ferry ride from Tahiti. Combine it with Bora-bora with family or a loved-one, or a trip to Fakarava or Rangiroa for the ultimate dive trip!
