We went to Maluku in Oct 2010. The muck diving there was very amazing. We spotted hairy frog fishes everytime we dove. It was night safari, so our first dive started around 5pm, and finished 3rd dive around 2am. We went back to Ambon in Nov 2012. They had strong storms earlier that year and had some floods, and everything was covered in thin layer of silt. It made it harder to spot critters. We were diving in trash. The water there is kind of gross. Most people on both trips were getting ear infection from the dirty water there. So i recommend getting ear drops with antibiotics at the local pharmacy and use it after each dive while diving in Ambon. And having Cipro helps.
