Tanzania Big Game Safari Trip Report August 2022
In August 2022, the Bluewater Photo Group embarked on a thrilling Tanzania safari starting at Tarangire National Park with sightings of elephants, leopards, and more. They marveled at the vast Ngorongoro Crater's wildlife and experienced the Serengeti's great migration, witnessing wildebeest crossings and rare African wild dogs, concluding an unforgettable adventure.

Roatan Trip Report 2022

In May-June 2022, a Bluewater Travel group explored Honduras' Bay Islands aboard the Roatan Aggressor. They dove diverse sites like Roatan's Valley of the Kings and Tavianna's Wall, encountering hawksbill turtles and diverse marine life. Cayos Cochinos showcased pristine reefs, while Utila offered unique sightings like electric stargazers. The trip culminated with thrilling dives at Roatan's Cara a Cara and Mary's Place, celebrating with an awards ceremony and sloth sanctuary visit.

Anilao Trip Report Spring 2022

The return to Anilao in April/May 2022 marked a significant moment after over two years of uncertainty due to the pandemic. With borders reopening in the Philippines, the annual Bluewater macro photo workshops resumed at Crystal Blue Resort. The workshops, led by experienced instructors like Mike Bartick and Erik Lukas, quickly resumed their intensive pace with daily dives and photography sessions. Participants eagerly applied new techniques, revisiting familiar dive sites to capture diverse marine life, culminating in a spirited photo competition and celebratory dinner, highlighting a joyous return to this beloved underwater paradise.

Led by Nirupam Nigam, the trip focused on underwater photography. Participants encountered diverse marine life including manta rays, sharks (silvertip, hammerheads), and humpback whales. The Rocio Del Mar liveaboard provided a comfortable base for learning and exploring, with participants using a variety of camera systems. Conditions varied from calm to challenging, but each dive offered unique photographic opportunities, culminating in close encounters with humpback whales at Roca Partida.

Sulawesi Trip Recap

Tim Yeo's Sulawesi trip aboard MSY Seahorse was a 12-night adventure starting from Manado, Indonesia, exploring North Sulawesi's coast and the Togean Islands. Highlights included diverse marine life in Lembeh Straits, whale shark encounters, WWII wreck dives, and conservation discussions.
